I’m just here waiting for Kelly Green to say it’s all part of bungie defining the game and not everybody will like it. And if you didn’t like it, it’s your fault because bungie did nothing wrong

Part of the problem with making it an Exotic that Exotics just lack a lot of utility unless they have a certain element of being OP, because it effectively locks up an Exotic slot. Especially with things like locked loadouts or indeed, even just not having inventory space to carry it, Exotics have to be worth carrying around or equipping. So they're difficult to balance to begin with, but also have to have a utility for a wide variety of different activities and scenarios to bother keeping them around. There are so many Exotic armors and weapons, most of them very niche and specific in use, and while some of them have interesting mechanisms which differ from your standard Legendary armor or weapon in the game, they're still often so specific in terms of when and where they become useful that they're not always worth it, when it also locks out the use of a better Exotic that is more versatile and useful in a variety of situations. I almost never carry Exotic weapons now, since I just pull them from Collections when I need them, but it points to the lack of utility in having such niche things that also take up inventory space _and_ can only be equipped one at a time. I'd rather have a wide array of different Legendaries because I can mix and match them in terms of primary and special, kinetic and elemental, that gives me greater choice in how I play or even plan for certain activities, which I'm sure it's even more relevant in PvE, especially if you have one go-to Exotic already that you know you will always have equipped or in your inventory. Of course, making the reward for a huge puzzle that required so many community hours to solve, something that wasn't even a surprise was also a huge mistake and miscalculation, so this outrage was pretty predictable. Edit: I would add that I do find it somewhat ironic that this event did, in fact, 'bring the community together'... if 'united in disappointment' is an example of good community cohesion. ;P

Really? How much saltier can you get? Everybody complains the last Exotic quest wasn't even an exotic quest. Now they give you something to do and you are still crying. Tampons are in aisle 5 if you need them.

Couple of streamers make videos complaining they have nothing to do and don’t play as much Magically quest appears Streamers start spending insane amounts of time on game Getting more and more subs Streamers are happy Quest reward released one week early Streamers happy. Players not happy Everything is as it should be as far bungie are concerned Try not to let it bother you. You’ll find yourself enjoying your leisure time more if you focus on other things

Guys guys, put down your pitchforks for the love of god. All of you get up in arms when something doesn't fit your niches, but Bungie did this to bring the community together. I don't see you all complaining about the similar way Outbreak Prime was discovered in D1. Give it a rest and stop saying Bungie is the devil.

It's funny the "streamers" who made all kinds of money off this community quest will say " C'mon guys it brought us tog$th$r!"

I was expecting an exotic from this puzzle, I WAS NOT expecting it to Bastion and I mean that is the worst way possible. We’ve known about Bastion since before this season started and it was meant to be released in two weeks, This tells is that regardless of you spent all this time solving this massive puzzle we would’ve gotten it anyway. The puzzle’s reward WAS LITERALLY GETTING AN EXOTIC ONE WEEK EARLIER! It’s honestly pretty insulting, this backlash could’ve been avoided of they didn’t reveal Bastion months ago and have it as a selling pony of the season pass. Regardless how good the gun is it’s a slap in the face to those who spent hours on this puzzle

I thought this would lead to a new dungeon like zero hour or a raid liar. If you see all the work that was put in for this puzzel.

Honestly this community is turning to shit.. and honestly.. I think its been there for a while. The reward may not be all that grand, the thing we get, the weapon however, the participation and fun of figuring out the puzzle, for those who did put in the time and effort was probably worth it. Simply because you don't like what you got, don't go putting your thoughts onto everyone, you don't speak for me and thousands of others.

I put together a puzzle I bought from a store, and all I got was a picture. Waste of my time! I even streamed putting it together and made tens of thousands of dollars in subs and advertising revenue. What an outrage. Definitely not worth it.

How was it a waste of time? A majority of players didn't even participate in the community event and are now whining about receiving a free reward. Get over yourselves. Be glad you got anything for doing nothing

Not my personal opinion, but don’t you think some people had fun figuring out this puzzle? It’s not all about the end product you know.
