The word war isn`t really the right word to describe even the worst outcome, a war usually invovles an attacking force trying to seize territory and a defending force. Neither the US nor Iran is actually trying to gain much out of this conflict and as a result, the way the war is fought would be quite different from any other war we have had, drone strikes, cyber attacks, and things of that nature would be far more prevalent than open, man on man, warfare. That said, the likelihood of a world war happening is fairly low, world leaders are (hopefully) smart enough to properly utilize their diplomats and not risk an all out war.

I dint think we’ll see a full scale world war again any time in the near future. Most countries don’t have the political will for it. We will continue to see plenty of smaller wars and proxy wars though. If we go to war with Iran it will be a major war but not a “world war” involving many countries.

1 RespuestaRemember when Trump launched Tomahawk Missiles inside Syria and hit Syrian [i] and [/i] Russian targets a few years ago? Remember how everyone said WW3 was going to start when that happened? Nothing is going to happen this time. We killed a top-tier terrorist that is from a country that hates the US to send a message. Iran knows they will get turned into a parking lot if they try to do anything else. Anything Iran says now is out of fear. We have them on the run now.

America and Iran are all talk, also a World War involves the Whole Worlds countries. Only America and Iran are interested in going at it. Honestly if they were people I'd tell them to just get a room and be done with it all their posturing is just a waste of time and energy better spent breaking beds.

Pretty much what Jono said. USA has been through much more worrying conflicts that could’ve resulted in WW3 that didn’t. Iran would never try fight the US, they’d be glassed harder than Hiroshima and Nagasaki put together.

Not reconstruction like Iraq. Problem with hitting a puddle full force is you send the water scattering... Into every nation that will allow human smuggling or illegal border crossings. Anywhoo... After watching snaps in Iran and Iraq outside of a few here and there the media is making it a bigger deal than it is. If anything it's made me want to party with them because it looks like they get down

Little. The goal of the Iranian government is to stay in power, and to expand their influence in the region. Provoking a major conventional war with the United States would be **suicidal**. But provoking a major diplomatic confrontation and a proxy conflict with us in Iraq, would help to distract their own people from how much they hate their own government..... ...and get them to focus on how much they hate us.
