And not these slow, low damage and no variety bows we’re used to. If devs gonna fix (and I’m sure they will) Wish Ender bug that makes it deal triple the damage then they should at least revisit the bow archetype.
Make bows useful in PvE and less of a troll pick in PvP. There are plenty of ways to do that. Here some ideas, any one or a combination of some would be a great deal to us, archers (aka Hanzo mains):
1. Add special ammo bows
2. Reduce draw speed for bows all across the board.
3. Reduce draw speed for bows and decrease reload speed so we have to use reload buffs or mods to get the most use out of it.
4. Remove draw speed cap which is at 540.
5. Buff lightweight frame bows to be on par with precision frame bows instead of having barely 0.036s faster draw speed but significantly lower damage and accuracy.
6. Add more kinetic bows with random rolls. We shouldn’t have to do raids to obtain the only precision frame legendary kinetic bow with random rolls.
7. Rework and add some unique bow perks. I’d love myself some ricochet arrows. Also, remove some useless perks from Spiteful Fang. Like for example rangefinder does nothing for bows but zoom in.
8. Lower or remove the sound bows make when you draw the bowstring. They’re cold weapons, they should be silent instead of alarming the entire enemy team where you are.
9. Replace Hush’s opening shot perk to hipfire grip perk.
That’s just a few examples how bows can be balanced. Obviously not everything should be added, as that would be too OP. But one or 2 would be already big. Don’t sleep on this opportunity to add easy and interesting content, Bungie.

3 RespuestasI agree. Using Wish Ender is the first time I used a bow and liked it. I just can't put it down. Its gonna suck when they nerf it.
-
4 RespuestasPlease stop talking about wish ender. I don’t want them to change it’s damage. It feels great in pve. Funny thing is tho, if it affected pvp, they would have already done something.

Editado por indo: 1/6/2020 7:13:19 PMFor PvE the Wish-ender feels now useful at least compared to all other bows. As long as they don't 1h in crucible because they have crazy aim assist. Would love to see the aim assist on the Arbalest reduced too.
-
Bows are for people who can't snipe, and shouldn't be in the game
-
Have you tried Leviathan's Breath yet? It can be amazing as well. Check out this 1 shot (per guardian) instant melt on the pyramidian strike boss during void burn
-
Ahh yes, Wish-Ender has taught us that Bows should do more damage than Heavy weapons.
-
Is it hard to solo the quest steps for the the bow? I have the three tokens already. Why you might wonder? none of my clan members playing anymore.

1 RespuestaRight now it is one of the few exotics that actually feels exotic. It is really fun

4 RespuestasGonna go out on a "limb" and say you're a fellow bow enthusiast. And maybe a fellow hanzo main. Lol. Anyways i agree they could use a little love. Just a hair though. They have a good bit of power for a primary but i don't want them to lose the skill gap required to slay with them. I would love it if they lowered draw time across the board, made recurves hit a bit harder, and make it so hushs pinnacle perk activates on hipfire hits period. A double body would only happen on two perfect draws so not too op. Wish ender should get a fraction more damage but not like it's current bug, just enough to give it that oomf. Le monarque is a monster but our other exotic bows really need a look too.

2 RespuestasA little love, yes. But draw times should not be touched because pvp would be a nightmare
-
5 Respuestasremove the annoying thing where the guy just lets go when holding the bow too long. That doesn't happen in real life.
-
I solod the dungeon boss with arsenic bite and izinagis as my primary. All thanks to the wish ender bug. A good bow is very effective for staggering and damaging enemies.

5 RespuestasBows are great. Get good

I agree

5 RespuestasEditado por RPColten: 1/3/2020 8:34:27 PMBows are already a superior option to long-range versus scout rifles, and a special ammo variant would either be outclassed by snipers or completely overtake snipers. I don't think the weapon class needs any dire adjustments short of some small number tuning. Then again I may be a bit biased since I've got +3000 PvE kills with Hush.

2 RespuestasIdk I find the immense power a bit cheap. It clears adds , majors, bosses, and uses primary ammo, hitting harder than a shotgun, at any range. Kind of broken . I mean the symmetry at 20x revolution hits less than that bow right now...and it needs 20 prec. Hits to proc it for 10 sec... Bows need a buff for sure...but not that much.
-
Special ammo bows would be a mistake. They would either be bad, or would completely replace snipers or linear fusions, assuming their damage was brought up to match their ammo type. Just give a fat PvE damage buff, a greater distinction between the archetypes, and more random rolls and unique perks. Start there and see if those changes add more to bows. A bow should be the king of instantaneous primary ammo damage, with it's overall DPS being limited by draw time.

4 RespuestasHonestly, I feel that bows are fine. They’re different and a bit niche but they have their purpose in pvp and pve. (I ran most of year 2 with the OG arsenic bite aka god roll). For pve i tend to use bows as a long range hand cannon kinda thing. It one taps most minor enemies, but in harder difficulties it can be 2 or 3 headshots. (Also with the new champion mods they are useful against unstoppable enemies but this is less about the archetype) For pvp bows have a strange place. They’re like an eriana’s vow with the sweet burst damage but are slow. (So usually you have awesome burst damage when peeking corners). And also quick access sling is ridiculous on a bow since it procs every shot. My only complaint with bows is that it feels oddly difficult to get a precision kill against vex. Its like the arrowhead has some width. But then again, arrows feel a bit sticky when you fire a bit to the side of an enemy’s head. (And also in endgame content i tend to run low on ammo...)

Wish ender is an exotic . So leave it alone. There aren't many exotics that are worth using .
-
If nothing else they need aim assist reduced for PvP so they’re not stupidly easy to use.
-
I think the way it is now is good since it’s exotic there’s not much else you can use it’s just as strong as izanagis and something else or less. But regular bows would be op if they were like this.

2 RespuestasEditado por PRIME_-LeGEND: 1/2/2020 6:34:46 PMI think a special bow should not one shot. Max 160-170 damage precision and 130-140 body

Buff lightweight frame bows to be on par with precision frame bows instead of having barely 0.036s faster draw speed but significantly lower damage and accuracy.[/quote] You mess with bows too much and they're going to either completely replace scout rifles or the other way. Even one or two of these suggestions could throw the balance off. In the Crucible, Precision Frame bows can kill in 2 body-shots. Every other bow can kill with 1 precision + 1 body at minimum. Lightweight Frames can be more lethal than Precision Frames with more skill. In PvE (Gambit specifically), Wish Ender is dealing way too much damage to the Primeval than a primary weapon should. Suddenly everyone is using that exclusively for DPS and saving all of their heavy ammo to control invaders. If bows start to overwhelm Gambit because of changes to their damage like this, well, can you picture what it's going to look like? I see legendary bows and Truth rockets everywhere in that scenario. A completely unbalanced Gambit meta. I also cannot picture special ammo bows. What would those do? Would they just replace snipers with one-shot potential and less zoom? Honestly with the draw mechanic, that sounds more like special linear fusion rifles to me, also currently known as Arbalests. Not trying to hate. I just don't want to see LFG posts later that say "must have bows or get kicked" everywhere.

6 RespuestasBow arrows should have travel time and natural trajectory. Period. Then they could 1 hit kill but with aggressive damage falloff.
