I miss Activision!
Oh god, never believed I would say that, but, it's kind of true.
We had more content, more communication, more story, more earnable loot and most importantly, less Microtransactions.
I miss the times with real DLCs and no FOMO! Damn you Luke and whoever makes those stupid decisions for the game.
Edit: as I cant edit the title on my phone, I'll try it once again (for you Bungie fanboys who jump on the defences ASAP without reading the whole post).
I miss the times Bungie had Activision (and their money) where not everything was focused around eververse and fomo seasons.
Activision itself can go f themselfs.

160 RespuestasYou are so wrong... Bungie themselves do the story and loot for every DLC. Activision only provided money and told them how many DLC's needed to come out.

Bungie shouldn't be releasing $15 AUD season passes and stuffing us down with micro transactions as if it was a mobile game every 90 days. not to mention these $15 season passes that lock content behind have very little things to do. Destiny 2 hasn't honestly been good since Opulence

I much rather have small dlcs that I finish in a week or two to this crap where if you don’t play every single day you miss out, and you can participate in that content ever again.

as much as activision is always identified as the devil of the gaming companies. they were the real ones that cared for destiny success.. putting other studios to help bungie with their typical *making content is hard* when a developer is good, activision doesnt affect it at all. look at from software with sekiro. bungie on the other hand.....

12 RespuestasIt's not Activision and their money dude, Bungie made a truckload of money last year. It's the studios, High Moon Studios and Vicarious Visions are the real creators of Destiny, not Bungie. We barely have cinematics, we barely have story content, we don't have hidden exotic missions, why? Because the studios responsible for those things left. Bonus facto to yall: Bungie developed Forsaken to be ONLY the Tangled Shore, baron hunts and kill Uldren. High Moon Studios is the one responsible for creating the ENTIRETY of the Dreaming City, the Ascendant Challenges, Last Wish and every last thing in there. Bungie is a freaking tumor in the world of game development, and even though Activision-Blizzard isn't perfect, we would be better off if they had the Destiny IP rights. PS. Why would Activision want to keep Bungie as one of their studios? Bungie needed 2 other studios (already mentioned) to develop their game. Forsaken earned a metric ton of money, but it was developed by 3 studios, being that the majority wasn't even the studio that owned the IP. That's why Activision called the deal off.

Cod is one of the most popular franchises of all time and still pulling in millions of players. Activision has a net worth of 20 billion, they know the gaming industry inside and out. Now look at the game, 200k population and bungie even hiding it 😂 Look at the forums, full of posts of people saying they're done. Shitty $10 seasons full of recycled content. You would have to be a grade A clown to defend bungie. 😂

Basically, think of Activision as Mom and Dad. Bungie as a child. Now, all of this makes sense. It's the only way I can justify playing a game like this.

With Activision around, Bungie were held to account for everything and when needed Activision stepped in and provided extra support with 2 of their in-house studios, support that rescued D2 from bombing completely. The problems have always lay at Bungies feet. They're using a 10yr+ old hybrid engine (halo reach Tiger and the 2008 Havok Cloth) that's not upto scratch for this generation of console, their attempt at creating a new engine for D2 catastrophically failed and delayed D2 by a year. Activision wanted Destiny to appeal to all players, casuals, hardcore ect, Bungie are only interested in their hardcore gamers and streamers. All the changes since Season of Opulence have shown the direction Bungie are headed in. Constant grinding, no time to take a break for a few months, if you miss out on a season, you miss out on storylines that impact the future of the game. That's just rětarded.

Activision isn’t the holy saviour that people are making out but they did provide structure and support for liberal, lax studios like bungie. You can clearly see the difference now and it’s not looking good.

If Activision had stayed in control we would have ended up exactly where we are now in terms of monetisation. Activision said as much when Forsaken launched. The problem is that Bungie have had to reduce their content production again while upping the monetisation, which creates a negative feedback loop of less content, more monetisation, less player engagement, less content purchases, repeat.
