Instead of shooting wet noodles like once per second, can devs actually make bows viable? Were it cutting the draw time further, increasing the damage, adding intrinsic bow perks (like precision frames not having in air accuracy loss like other weapons) that actually improve the experience of using bows or whatever.
As long as bows don’t remain in this extremely niche place they currently are now.

13 RespuestasEditado por Peloquinsoul: 12/16/2019 1:36:31 PMRegular bows are just awful in anything considered endgame. I was doing bow kills in the regular nightfall yesterday, using a kinetic bow, and most red bars take 2 or 3 precision hits to kill them. That's terrible.

Can we get at least get a mod that makes us "pull" arrows faster to shoot them or make the hunter's gauntlet exotic do that. Arrows need some love.
-
61 RespuestasNo, bows are dumb. Bungie should not give them any love or attention at all ever. -blam!- bows. Don't buff them, nerf them and never make any new ones. It's a game that takes place 2000-3000 years in the future and we are using bows.........? SSOOOOOOOOO FUUUUUUUUCKIIIIIIIING DUUUUUUUUMB!

6 RespuestasBows are fine. They're stronger than Hand Cannons and scouts per shot damage. Scouts are what need a damage buff.

Bows: - Increase Precision damage against majors by 15%. - Reduce in-air accuracy decrease for all bows by 70%. - Increase perfect draw damage by 10%. - Trinity Ghoul: - Decrease draw time to put in line with other precision bows. - Eliminates projectile spread on a perfect draw while ads to improve consistency at range. - Wish-Ender: - Enemy highlight now effects whole screen while ads, not just scope. - Remove projectile bug, but increase Broadhead Damage by 2x in PvE. - Increase Anti-Taken Fletching bonus by 3x current value. - Leviathan’s Breath: - Increase base ammo capacity from 10 to 20 - Increase nock-back effect on direct hits. Linear Fusions: - Increase precision damage multiplier from 2.7x to 3.5x. (Arbalest not effected by changes). - Sleeper Simulant: - Increase base damage by +0.5x - Queenbreaker: - Allow swapping between scopes by holding reload. Trace Rifles: - Increase precision damage multiplier from 1.4 to 1.6. - Increase base reserves from ~450 to 650. - Coldheart: - Increase mag size from 101 to 200. - increase maximum damage bonus of longest winter by .5x current bonus, but increase build up to compensate. - Prometheus Lens: - Increase mag from 100 to 150. - Wavesplitter: - Increase the chances of switching to medium and high damage values with continuous damage. - Increase mag size from 100 to 150. Just the weapon types I think need the most help right now. Maybe add swords and rockets too.

3 RespuestasBows should hit harder if they have slower draw time than arsenic bite. Lemon Arc is a perfect example, along with bugged wish ender. Bugged wish ender does damage now for its draw speed. Also buff oathkeeper, one of the better looking exotic that has a useless perk. Heard it previously had draw time reduced but got removed ???

4 RespuestasI can agree that bows shouldn’t have been added and don’t really add anything to the game. 90% of activities and encounters are close to medium range horde modes and range matters very little, bows don’t belong in this kind of game. It would have made more sense for bungie to add some type of full auto crossbow if they wanted to add something new since it would have at least fit in better compared to bows. Or they should have just added new archetypes to existing weapons. Anything but bows.

41 RespuestasFor all you idiots saying bows don't belong in this type of game, find you a Subtle Calamity with Explosive Rounds and Dragonfly and tell me they shouldn't exist. By far one of my top 5 PvE weapons in my vault.
-
1 Respuestai don't think they need to be changed at all
-
6 RespuestasYeah bows need a buff when they two tap in PvP? Jeez what do you want free kills? Bows should be nerfed to be 3 headshots for a kill just like scout rifles.
-
I would say a lot of things need a buff... But hey then we would be too good according to Bungie.
-
No draw time buff. Bows are very good in Crucible already, if that happened they would take over the sandbox. Just give them a damage buff in PvE.
-
I like where bows are at, but I do think wish ender should remain bugged. An exotic bow should not do about the same damage as a normal bow in my own opinion
-
Bows needed this buff finally able to use and enjoy them leave them alone . To many people want stuff buffed it’s ruining the game. At least let people enjoy them and let bungie decide they make the game
-
Bows are fine where they are.
-
3 Respuestasa longer draw time and that's it.
-
2 RespuestasYou can tell when someone is good with a bow in PVP. I agree they need a buff in PvE.
-
Bows are great in pvp
-
As long as they keep draw time low on my arsenic bite 4b I will be happy.
-
11 RespuestasBows (especially with archers tempo and rampage) are one of the best ad clearing weapons in the game if you can aim half well.
-
That bow specifically has become good at taking down yellow bars. It should retain that feel of being excellent at putting the hurt on bigger targets, not just taken. That bonus damage on yellow bars is what I want to see stay. Yeah, I can Agree right now its clearly in a category of being a special weapon... but What if its current damage stayed and it did use special ammo??? and if it had anti-barrier intrinsically... It would be perfect. Just give it anti barrier and make it a special ammo weapon and LEAVE it be damage wise... just tinker with its ammo economy. I feel that trade off would be GOLDEN.

19 RespuestasEditado por YonaRulz: 12/17/2019 5:21:32 AMNo, there a reason bows haven't been used in combat since firearms were invented. Bows do not belong in a futuristic FPS. Swords are iffy. A strong guardian could do serious damage with a sword up close. Bows would be great in a GoT game.
-
All they need to do is increase the fire rate by changing the animation, and lower the long-range accuracy. Give them the hand cannon treatment so that they can work as a good peak weapon without challenging snipers.
-
Wish Ender could keep its unintended buff, ya know, for fun. But bows in general are pretty good. Auto's and Scouts still need buffs before anyone goes wild on bows to be honest.
-
After scouts.

I can agree but only partly. Bows in Crucible seem to follow the same rule as most everything else and nicely so; there are definitely OP weapons out there but if you're good with what you use then you'll be fine in all but the most extreme circumstances. Bows in PvP ride a fine line and I think Bungie nailed the margin on that one, if you tweak it much then this post will drown under 'BOWS ARE CANCER' threads. In PvE though, even kinetic bows are only viable with rampage and/or tempo; I can understand Master and maybe Legend Nightfall acolytes/dregs/psions needing two headshots but leaving even patrol enemies with a two foot shaft in their eye and a fingernail in their bar is disappointing. Bosses too, better to use a rifle than to chip away with a bow. I often use Tyranny and my hand cannon for as long as I can before I switch back to Sole Survivor.
