Year 3 of D1 was so much better than D2 is now. These are the best reasons in my opinion.
You could do any activity and progress to 400 Light.
Exotic engrams, strike specific loot, faction packages, raids, and Archon Forge drops were all guaranteed to be above your light level and up to 400 Light.
You used skeleton keys for strike specific loot, instead of running the same strike a hundred times.
Infusion was easy, cheap, and you could use extra gear to infuse your other characters. You didn't have to play the game 24/7 like you do now.
There were Tier 12 armor builds. Cooldowns were fast. The adjustments for Mobility, Armor, and Recovery were in the skill tree and easy to change on the fly. Skill trees were more complex and customizable too.
Shaders actually worked correctly and changed the color of your armor. Not just parts of it.
Class items were unique, and sold by the Speaker.
Factions actually existed.
Vendor gear updates actually happened, and vendor rolls changed weekly.
With Age of Triumph, all the raids were updated and made relevant.
The raids weren't overloaded with annoying mechanics.
The game was actually fun, instead of being a boring, unrewarding, grindy wannabe WoW clone.
And most importantly, the game was made for EVERYONE, not just YouTubers and elitists that play the game 24/7.

1 RespuestaI feel like the strikes and raids from D1 were much more memorable and planned out. The D2 raids seem like they are made hard for the sake of a specific group that likes the challenges the harder the better

5 RespuestasD1>D2 I don’t care what year. At base D1 was better than D2.

10 RespuestasYou're forgetting that so much of the game had been nerfed due to forum complaints that people resorted to using the No Land Beyond for competitive gameplay. Think about that for a moment...the NLB.
-
Yup. The no life kids ruined this game.
-
lol there is more content its just locked in eververse

7 RespuestasYou forgot THE most important thing in D1......our sparrows had horns!!!
toot toot
Join the PSN community Destiny's Destiny, it has over 32,000 members and it is the easiest way to find groups for D1. I've been doing D1 raids every weekend.

7 RespuestasYou really think D1 shader system was better ?

5 Respuestas"There were Tier 12 armor builds. Cooldowns were fast" That's the only thing that was cancer. Spamming nades with shinobu's? Got nerfed? Ok, the OHK with double nades with Warlocks or Titans with tracking that you can get back in less than 30 seconds. Great skill. Not enough? The ultra camping meta with NLB with no flinch... nerfed? Ok, there you have Ice Breaker with infinite ammo to camp even more, ToO was super great and skillful with that meta... Not everything was that great back then.

I agree... right up until the day they announced we were losing all our stuff for D2 in sept. I stopped playing that day and didn’t start again until D2. It wasn’t because I was pissed about losing my stuff, although that didn’t help, it was because the grind felt pointless after, it felt like I’d just be wasting my time.
-
3 RespuestasYou really can’t compare them yet since year 3 of D2 isn’t over you can only compare base rise of iron and base shadowkeep and undying since they launched at the same time since it isn’t even December you can’t include age of triumph or in D2s case season of the dawn (even though we don’t know anything about it yet) wait till the year is finished to compare which is better or at least compare the launches of each expansion
-
2 RespuestasMy favorite part of D1 was the fully customizable skill trees. It’s not like our guardians couldn’t use all their skills at any given time. That’s the one thing I would bring back over all that others. Strike specific loot is also a big one. Maybe at a lower drop rate over Nightfall.

4 RespuestasJust think when roi came out bungie had D2 planned with no random perks on guns and like no perks at all on armor lol as if people would just run activities just for the fun of shooting trash mobs all day. Wonder what they’ll pull for D3? I feel like they have barely any desire to make content for this game anymore. I see myself in my high school days when I look at bungie, do just enough to get by

Editado por TJ_Dot: 11/24/2019 5:08:22 PMI miss not being clogged up by infusion fuel, but noooo, it had to be more meaningful somehow by being a material dump

Imagine being completely brainless thinking y3 of d1 was remotely good. It was terrible. Trademark Josh Hamrick trash primary meta. There's a reason he's gone and the game is actually somewhat good now
-
I find it hilarious how the Live Team (any OGs remember them?) have created more interesting, very fun, and time worthy content than all of Bungie HQ combined.
-
-
Yea , but.................
I got nothing here
-
The game has regressed significantly, how does that happen? The game should be progressing and building on already proven success, boggles my mind!

Hmm I miss D1 too and there were many good things that haven't made it to D2. But I don't think D2 is worse its just as good if not better in some other ways. Of course it would be perfect if they could combine both games. I don't even know how many weapons I want to come back but it's gotta be more than 30. Why is that? Because most weapons are just underwhelming. Rocket launchers, Fusion Rifles, and Bows are an instant no brain dismantle even though I like their feel and would want to use them. Those weapon types that are useable feel useless compared to something like Recluse. Even exotics like what is this? We went from overpowered and broken Exotics to weapons that get outclassed by legendaries. Never have I been running around with out an exotic weapon on my own free will until D2. Thats only because I don't have Izanagi's of of the few good exotics. Whats even better is most good exotics are old ones from D1. Just bring them all back already jesus... Its weird D2 is not a bad game it's just that it could have been perfect but instead fails in the most simple and obvious way possible. It really grinds my gears like that one person who is always smart but does something so dumb you wouldn't expect him to do.

2 RespuestasYou forgot about strikes, the only moment I used gunslinger was because of the solar burn damage buff from nightfalls, and that type of mechanics were fun. Also raid gear was so special we will freak out I we got some raid gear even if it was shitty armor.
