On pc it sucks as well, if you have a 4 core cpu you get drops into the 30fps area in the same scenarios that you get the fps drops.
But at least it's fine if you have a 6 core or more cpu.

I9 9900k 2080ti with a Pg27uq Ohhh it's glorious love my set up
-
I have a i7 6700k with a gtx 1070 I play at 3440x1440p with close to high settings I get a solid 75fps, idk what you are talking about.
-
I have an i7 7700 paired with a gtx1070 and i've never see a drop below 60fps on almost everything on low(except recently, the tower is so bad optimized that sometimes on a full tower my pc is running this game at 57fps, 57 man).
-
It depends on the CPU. One of the old computers here has a 4 core 4790k with a 1080 and it can easily push 1080p to 120 + frames , I mean this is a 2014 CPU Are you talking about some old slow AMD bulshit?
-
I don't drop to 30fps anywhere other than SoTP. Cores aren't an issue in games, 99% of the time it's more about clock speed, destiny is no different.
-
This game has issues with less than 6 cores, i confirmed this with several friends and people all over the internet with this game. Dunno why, but it wasn't like that before.
-
I played on a Ryzen 5 1600 and had the same problems with framerate that I have wirh my i5 7400.
-
It definitely doesn't, it just depends on the CPU. The difference between a 4790k and an 8700 K and a 9900 k is not that huge. The video card is what really does it.

I run d2 on my calculator and it never drops bellow 20 fps

What? What kind of quad core CPU do you have? I’m on a quad KabyLake and I never dip below 144fps. I have a 1080 FTW2 as well and this game runs crisssssspppppy.
-
You are one in a million, consider yourself lucky, because that's not the case, everyone having a quad core cpu is having problems.
-
It’s gotta be the gen man. Gen 7 intel is like two year old tech, three years tops...
-
I know some with kaby lake cpus, even i7 which have 8 threads and still have problems.
-
on console(xbox one x) we get frame drops into the single digits xD
-
I dunno I have a 6 core and still get FPS drops 🤷♂️
-
Check your video drivers, perform a clean install, or maybe you are confused about the real number of cores you have? which cpu do you have? and which videocard and ram?.
-
also your social security number, your mom's credit card (3 numbers on back), and your yearly wage?
-
Ryzen 1600 6 core CPU Probably my GPU which is a Rx 580 4gb thats holding me back.
-
It shouldn't, that gpu is more than enough for 1080p gaming at 60fps.. Perform a clean video driver install, that should fix it.
-
I replaced GTX1080 for 2070 Super, which is good enough for FHD at 60FPS in demanding titles. Sure it is not case of Destiny, but. Try demanding titles at FHD with max out settings and keep 1% low at least on 60FPS... Imposible for RX580 same as imposible for GTX1080
-
Well i am playing at 75 fps maybe thats the issue?
-
It should run 75fps as well as long as you are in 1080p.
