The first thing to do is clear your console caches (unplug power for 10 minutes) *[i]I usually take this opportunity to power cycle my router as well, just make sure it is up and running 100% before starting up the console[/i]* If you still see the same issue, run a detailed network report and post (all) the numbers here, and include your NAT Type. That may shed some light. When you say "goes on forever", how long have you waited? I usually let it keep going no matter what, as it will either time out or throw a console error if it is actually not able to connect properly. I also see you are using CrossSave. Keep in mind that if you last played on Steam, the console now needs to resync all your character and progress information before continuing, so that can take a little while depending on network conditions. This is another reason I asked "how long you wait"
