Nothing Worth Doing
Like the title says, there is nothing worth doing in D2. Now before anyone says anything about me being a hater, I say just read the damn post and don't sound like an idiot. I've played D1 and all of D2. I played all of D2Y1, so I know shit when I see shit.
1) NIGHTMARE HUNTS: These have no specific loot associated with them and that goes for ALL the difficulties. These bosses are some of the most unique ones in the series. Why not make these things farmable. I know that's mind blowing for Bungie, but come on. Why do them after the 3rd run in a week if they have nothing unique to farm. Once again, a powerful reward. Not a meaningful reward. I can get all the escence drops at Eris if I wanted to and faster.
2) VEX INVASIONS ON THE MOON: They're garbage. Besides a powerful drop, not a meaningful drop, why do them?
3) VEX OFFENSIVE: The loot pool is super shallow. After 2 or 3 times doing it, you'll almost be guaranteed the gun you want and the roll you want. It's super super super easy to get and not worth your time.
4) STRIKES: They still have no specific loot. We are on Y3. There is no reason to farm strikes which are an endgame piece of content. On top of that, the two new strikes they actually added have no nightfall unique rewards...go figure.
5) OPEN WORLD IN GENERAL: There are no new world drops in this entire DLC. Kinda embarrasing. But hey, finishing moves were added and the fanboys are pleased.
6) VENDORS: These still have not gotten a refresh. I'm less likely to play Crucible, Gambit, and Strikes when the vendors don't get reset because I've already gotten all the loot from them. How many more times can I really get Better Devils? FFS Bungie, this is a loot game
7) UPGRADE MATERIALS: That's all that was really new in this DLC. The upgrade materials and what you use them for. You do Nightfall Ordeals for upgrade materials.
8) IRON BANNER: It's literally a joke.
Bungie: Hey guys! We are bringing Iron Banner back in Y3!
Community: But...we get it in every DLC, why are you even announcing this?
Bungie: Listen to this! You guys are gonna love this! There are no new weapons!
Community: But why?
Bungie: Because we are building the bedrock of the foundations
Community: You say that in literally every vidoc.
Fanboys: Don't listen to them Bungie. They are haters. I love it already!
9) LEVIATHAN'S BREATH: This quest is the ultimate pile of dog shit. You buy a Y3 Battle Pass quest only to have to do all Y1 with a small touch of optional Y2 stuff to get an exclusive Y3 exotic. On top of that, we have to kill Bracus Zahn...again. He's been canonically dead for like 2 years.

10) RAID: by popular demand I'm adding this. The raids aren't worth doing really. The weapons you get are not like the raid weapons in D1. Those had raid perks and stuff. D2 has raid weapons that are normal legendaries

Not only that but what’s the point of even having Vex weapon frames from Ikora when you can just do the event and farm them that way? I’m surprised nobody has pointed out this waste of time. You can either get the fram from Ikora go waste time getting the kills required then running the event or just simply do the event a few times and find what you want.

Interest in doing stuff in the game is your outtake. 2 or 3 tries at vex invasion to almost guarantee the roll you want? Say that very slowly so you can understand how dumb it is, almost GUARANTEED on something that is random.....Are you high? The hancannon has 28 different things it can roll with divided by 4 spots not including the .....you know what I'm just gonna stop half way through, moronic posts like this are beneath me , like having something to do isn't relative to one's entertainment and personal preference. 4 RespuestasYet you totally gloss over the actual reasons why things were adjusted from D1, and also fail to even remotely understand that "worth" is purely subjective. 1. In the D1 raids. The weapons were so op, and beyond anything else in the game, it completely bypassed any options for YEARS. Fatebringer, Fangs, Vision, there was zero reason un-equip. IT WAS BORING af. 2. There are plenty of exotic quests, Pinnacles, and legendary gear worth grinding out. 3. The Dungeon, for another example, is absolutely worth doing. The fully masterworked armor piece from the final boss is a TREMENDOUS reward considering the time and investment it takes to MW an armor piece to 10. 4. Maybe, just maybe, after 5+ years, Destiny just isnt your thing anymore. Every game has a lifespan. It's likely your real life has changed, and most likely how you experience Destiny has changed to. Perhaps your time has run its course? Time to find something new? Based on your list I fail to see anything you really enjoy about the game.

I needed 3 armor pieces to reach 952 and after doing 8 pinnacles I only got 2 of the armor pieces- 6 drops of pinnacle rewards that were literally useless trash. We know how much effort it takes to put raid teams together and teams for all of these pinnacles. Its not easy, and for 75% of my PINNACLE rewards to be trash... wtf is the point of even trying? 1 power level every 2 or maybe even 3 weeks? Bungie is smoking crack. Im going to play CoD or Apex. And I got easily over a dozen powerfuls and prime engrams- nothing even close to a good roll on any of them. 99% of the rewards in this game end up getting dismantled. This is a really shitty way to spend time on a video game. Just end up leaving salty always. No wonder the forums are so toxic.

1 RespuestaIf you don’t like the game, just don’t play the content. I’m enjoying slowly upgrading my build every week and inching closer to 960 base. I’m enjoying all the new systems and builds they made possible, learning a new raid was fun, finding/reading all the new lore tabs is fun, Hell if you like the game, you’ll have fun in it. But you seem more focused on the weapons. That’s something I really don’t care about. I’ve changed my loadout twice since forsaken. Aside from collecting badges and titles, I really don’t see the point in going after weapons that’ll likely be subpar compared to the OP monsters we got last year. I’d rather focus on upgrading my armor, finishing my collections, and helping my friends through the content they missed.

You can also add "obtaining Ritual and Pinnacle Weapons" to the list of things not worth doing, because Bungie will nerf these retroactively as soon as they release new loot. Bait and Switch is Bungie's middle-name.

I mean is it that hard to have atleast 1 specific weapon or even Armor drop for every strike? That certainly isn't too much to ask of them. Revoking the exotic drop chance on heroic events was also a stupid move. Every -blam!-ing enemy can drop an exotic but if I do an event that involves more than just shooting the head off a cabal (atleast not always) the chest isn't able to give an exotic? Good logic there. Nightmare Hunts could also use specific Gear drops since their only purpose at the moment are helping with bounties and leveling up your light level which becomes pointless beyond 950. In short. Get your shit together Bungie. This is a Looter Shooter so put satisfying loot in it and divide those accordingly across activitys.

1 RespuestaThis season got stale really fast. The new dungeon is easily done solo. There are already posts on FB groups. Bungie should have given us loot specific to all this "new" content. The hunts and vex invasions should give specific loot. All the raids in D2 have been trash so I don't know if I'll even try GoS. The pinnacle reward system is garbage as well. You level up faster just by the artifact. You're guaranteed +1 in power with he artifact but doesn't help with pinnacle drops. Idk anyone who is above 952/953 without the artifact. If you are, you have no-life this game and have perfect rng. Bungie should tweek the pinnacle awards so these "pinnacle" milestones are worth doing. Maybe even tweek Tier 3 awards since there is only one tier 3.

The Nightmare Hunts are a big disappointment. They are fun, but there really isn't much of a reason to grind them. All you get are mods to make Nightmare Hunts easier. Huh? I like the Vex Offensive, but the loot for it just isn't great. It's decent, but not enough to farm over and over. There needs to be some pinnacle gear attached to it. I played the Menagerie last night, after a hiatus. This is still the best place to farm in the game and it's still fun. So, Shadowkeep is starting to slowly run out of gas for me. The game Outer Worlds, sure isn't helping me want to play more Destiny.

1: Yeah, Nightmare hunts are kinda meh. We get special nightmare mods, but those only help with nightmares. 2: I mean, it's more of a gateway to Offensive more than anything. And an easy source for vex chassis. 3: I find it rather enjoyable every now and then. I don't care for the loot, but the activity itself is like a mini raid. I'm not in a clan, and even if I was I can't use voice chat so an actual raid is near impossible for me. Offensive kind of fills that spot for me, and it can also act as a gateway into a raid for newer players. 4: If Strike weapons were updated to Y2 at least, the rewards would be better. I got so many Duty Bound drops last week, and dismantled all of them since I have better Y2/Y3 weapons. Rather use Breakneck over something I can't mod honestly. But there are still weapons I don't have, like Militia's Birthright, so while I understand eventually I'll get to the point of not needing to do Strikes anymore, I still have reason to play them. I just wish we could have all Nightfalls available for selection at any given time. Really hate having to wake a week for a reset that might not even give me Lake of Shadows or Strange Terrain. 5: I'm still new to this game, only been playing since the last week or so of September, so I don't exactly know what you mean. But I've gotten plenty of Shadowkeep weapons as drops from sources outside of Powerfuls and the quests. 6: Again, new to this game so I don't have everything, but I can see your point to some degree. I mostly turn into Vance, and all of his drops at least are Y1, so I scrape them for the shards and cores. The rest I just use to buy upgrade modules. 7: Basically. But I'm sure most vets have thousands of materials to buy the upgrade shards. 8: Never really PvP. As much as I would like Mountaintop and Recluse, I tend to avoid this part. Too much lag for me. Gambit is perfectly fine, but when it comes to Crucible, it's like everyone is pulling a Goku and shooting through walls and warping around at light speed. 9: This... Yeah, I see the point. But doesn't the quest itself take place right after the Red War ends? I know Banshee mentions he locked the bow up around that time, so isn't it also possible that the quest takes place before Zahn is killed? 10: I don't raid, so can't really comment too much on this, but from what I've seen weapons like Ghost Primus are rather powerful, even though it's a legendary. I don't know if it's near as powerful as an exotic, but if it is, isn't that a good thing since you can use another weapon that is almost as strong as your exotic slot?
