The james younger situation just seems crazy to me.
Look, I have no intention of ripping on trans people. And if this post ends up offending somebody that isnt my intention.
As far as I'm concerned if an adult identifies as something other than their biological sex and wants to live their life accordingly they get to make that decision.
And my opinion on, for example, whether it would be better for them to "go in that direction" vs try to accept the way they were born, isnt really relevant. Because they have the liberty to make that decision.
But I dont understand how a 7 year old boy can possibly be able to make a decision that significant.
I'm not gonna pretend I have a PhD in child psychology or something but we wouldn't let a child that young get a tattoo, or a credit card, or sign a contract and if they did something illegal they would not be treated as an adult and I simply cannot fathom that a person should be able, or allowed even, to make a permanent, life altering decision like that at the age of 7.
And theres video of the kid, apparently at age 3, saying that "mommy tells me I'm a girl" and all this other stuff. I'm not even convinced this kid necessarily identifies as a girl, I think theres a pretty good chance his mother is influencing this and hes just going along with it.
And apparently when he hangs out with his dad what do you know, he acts like a boy and (at least from the reports I've read) seems fine "being a boy".
But you know, dad lost custody.

35 RespuestasWhich is why these situations need to be handled by professionals because they can get extremely complicated extremely quickly...and people without that expertise need to stay out of it. Gender identity get set very early in life. So yes a 7 year old can have a very clear idea of whether they feel that they are male or female...and whether inners experience matches outer appearance. But yes parents who are not healthy themselves or have an unhealthy relationship with the child can interfere with a child forming a healthy relationship with their gender identity. Especially if the patent cannot accept the sex of their child and keep communicating that they want the child to be something other than what they are. Which is why only professionals should delve into sorting this stuff out.

I love how people are scolding the dad for "controlling his child" and "not knowing what he's talking about" when the mom is doing the exact same thing. This kid is going to grow up with all kinds of identity issues, all because she wanted a daughter smh...

A 7 year old can't make a decision like that. This is a prime example of how f'd up the world has become and just how badly poor parenting can screw up a child. Whoever is even talking about this kind of stuff to a kid should be jailed for grooming as far as I'm concerned. The fact that his mother isn't currently in jail tells you all you need to know. You learn the plan from the attack.

Years ago the father has recordings of himself talking to his son where the boy tell him that his mom is the one telling him hes a girl and that she would make him wear dresses at home. She is corrupting his mind. She wanted to start giving him hormone therapy and thank god the father cared enough to stand up to it and made sure more people knew what was happening. Some people are saying the bo wants it done but the boy should have no say in this matter, he is far to young to even fully understand. The mother would put a dress on her son and post picture on her businesses website using him as a doll to try and promote woke business. To sum this up there should be NOTHING done to that poor kid. If he turns 18 and still feels like doing this then more power to him. No mother and father have a right to mutilate thier kids. And by they way personally I think she is ruining his life. If this ending tomorrow he will still be mocked about this all through school. And if the mom does get this insane idea to happen he will grieve up a suicidal wreck. Shes a evil woman who wants to ruin her son's life and spite the father. Its disgusting honestly and makes me mad that any parents would do this to their CHILD! Some people should not be allowed to have kids. /rant

Honestly (no hate to trans) I don't get why some people wanna be transgender, at all One of my friends who wants to be trans (which I honestly hope she doesn't) says it's cause of gender dysphoria which was something along the lines of you not being comfortable with your gender and that it's a mental disorder or something So they think that getting their gender changed will make it better? Now you're uncomfortable with your gender AND have a gender/identity crisis Most trans are probably in their early to mid teens which is somewhat understandable since teens tend to do dumb shit (myself included lmao but not THAT kinda stuff) But whenever I see someone under 16 and is a trans, I honestly can't help but feel bad for them

There’s a reason that [u]legally[/u], children are not allowed to engage in sexuality, especially with adults: they are not mature enough to understand or rationally consider the consequences or ramifications, let alone it psychologically scars them for the rest of their life to do so at such an age range. It is ethically, morally, and in every other way disgusting that parents are seeking to manipulate force their sexual-political bullshit onto children, especially since all this shit is scientifically wrong.

From what I learned from my professor (who is a psychologist) in my psychology class, both parent and child need to go through psychological evaluations if this kind of thing happens to determine if that is really the path the child should be taking.

I haven't been read up on this situation so I won't comment on it as a whole, but I agree. This is the individual's desicion and should be made by them when they're at an age where they can be educated on the subject and know the risks.

Brainwashing. Seriously though. Let the kid make the decision without being brainwashed by the parent. Like my parents can say what they want but I will do what I want. (Which thankfully is the right thing. And what I just said has nothing to do with the whole transgender thing we are talking about.)
