In D1: definitely rahool, he'd give you packages when you rank up with him and there'd be a chance where a blue engram could be purple and a purple become a exotic, and a very very VERY slim chance of a blue becoming an exotic In D2: Tess, she has more relvance in D2 then in D1 and she gives free engrams when ranking up after reaching 50, although it's hard to get something good out of them though, it's still fun and gives a sense of progression and being productive in Destiny

Tess is amazing. Eververse in D1 was shit. In D2 it's incredible. I have 29 exotic emotes and haven't spent a single penny.
