Last I played Destiny 2 was during the beta two years ago.
I remember there was a span of time where you could download Destiny 2 for free and play it. However it wasn't a "free to play weekend" It was just a free download. Maybe that never happened, and I'm wrong but thats what I remember as a lot of my friends also got the game then. During that period of time I added D2 to my Battle.net library and it's just sat there since as I never got around to playing.
I downloaded the game over the past night and it was ready to play today. However I click "Play" in the Battle Net launcher, the game proceeds to open and brings me to a loading screen (https://i.imgur.com/XsLzPZc.jpg) half the time the window glitches out and I can't even get back into the window screen. Now the few times it has worked I am met with the following error message. (https://i.imgur.com/bW6JLJV.jpg) So I was told by friend to ask help about it.
If anyone knows anything let me know.

10 RespuestasWhat this means is that you don't have a license for Destiny 2 on that Battle.net account. As the beta didn't provide you a permanent license, and if you didn't log into the game when it was free last November, you probably never got a permanent one. You might try changing your battle.net password and seeing if that fixes the problem, but more than likely you just don't have a license to play the game. However, in about 12 days, on the 1st, you will be able to log into the game for free, and experience all year 1 content and the majority of the year 2 annual pass content. That is part of New Light, and you can read more about it here: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Destiny/NewLight
