I can't believe it. I love Destiny so much and coming back getting ready for Shadowkeep, this quest is actually making me emotional. It is infuriating, and it truly makes me sad. That's pathetic AF, I know, but Mountain Top is just ruining the game for me. This quest is ruining crucible and PvE somehow simultaneously... Who TF thought this was a good idea? I genuinely cringe at the idea of playing anymore and it hurts me to admit that... Now I am not necessarily super against grenade launchers. As a heavy weapon, I really like them, but as a kinetic or energy? That is an awful idea. It is exactly why people complained for change and they gave us double primary instead. Then they flip to the other extreme and put grenade launchers as a potential kinetic? Haha wtf? Petty complaints aside, the mountaintop is the most infuriating and stupid quest line ever. Real original post I am sure, but the consistency of the communities pressure on these forums has to get them to listen eventually. The problem is that not only is it best in slot for PvE, it is only obtainable through PvP. For hardcore PvE enthusiasts that alone is just cruel? Why would they think that is fun? The weapon type is clunky, and unreasonable in practice, yet still will be best post lunafactikn and rally barricade nerfs. It literally is demanded by most raid teams and sad how petty people are cause they endured the grind while you have not? So what I come back excited for Shadowkeep and want to do the new raid yet punished for not grinding my mind out for a grenade launcher? Wow... Before anyone says "oh, well get good", I have gotten fabled already. Yeah, they reduced the number of kills necessary, but it's the principle of the matter just forcing a selfish and unreasonable playstyle that makes me want to uninstall again and just forget this game before Shadowkeep even launches. Forcing the grinding of crucible, stealing heavy selfishly every time from teammates and running around throwing the game is just an awful idea for a quest. Let alone the bonus points obtained from competitive. How awful is it to have a 3x grenade launcher player on your comp team while you are grinding glory rank or simply even wanting to win with someone basically throwing?
