Lunafaction and Rally were going to get nerfed regardless of Datto's opinion. It created a scenario in MANY activities where you just sit in one spot and unload huge DPS without putting a thought towards it they want to make PvE harder. That's one way to do it. Same with reducing super regen with orbs.
Just wait until the sandbox changes for weapons. There should be some good stuff (Sunshot mag buff, Graviton Lance PvE buff, Scout rifle buffs, and possibly a buff to autos)

Ok but what about all the other nerfs?
-
With damage stacking and super gain and resistance? Those were needed too. Damage stacking allowed bosses to be melted way faster than intended. Bungie's intent with supers was not to have them running around as much as they have been. That's why they already nerfed the super gain exotics. The resistance nerf was mostly done because of PvP. Cant remember if it effects the whole game, though. Only nerf I think was a bit extreme was the nerf to truesight. I think 5 seconds is a better middle ground than 3 seconds.
-
So we needed to have all super regen and super duration nerfed on top of damage resistance nerfs? This is literally just another one of bungie's patented over reactions. Oh no auto rifles are a bit too stronk? Ruin them for years to come! Special weapons were stronk in D1? Start D2 with double primaries! Supers come to often? Make it so bottom scorers in pvp don't even get one by the end of the game! This is classic bungie and waaay over the top. This coupled with the fact that they think taking 1/3 of the pvp maps away is "encouraging variety" shows they don't evenhave the gameplay of their own product in sight. Its all just graphs and charts to them.

As Robo Dad says below, the maps needed reworks. That mostly includes spawn tweaks. They said they can return with changes to them in the future. Keep in mind we are getting 3 maps, one of which is brand new.

Create variety by taking things away...riiiiight. You see how they spin these things? Just another over reaction and then ridiculous excuse for the over reaction itself. The only thing this creates is people that like these maps say "wish they didn't take that from us". Then when the maps come back fixed later the people that didn't like them will whine that we got our content back.
-
The majority of hate for the maps came from the shitty spawns, which they will most likely take a look at. The whole point of taking them out is to improve them.
-
That whole section is about "promoting variety in pvp" and only talks about removal of maps. I'm not arguing spawns, or heavy points, or balance. I'm saying bungie is full of shit when they say variety. They made bad maps and now want to act like it is a good thing they have to remove them, its variety now.
-
Um, there is a variety of playlists, still a variety of maps, and the meta will most likely also switch up. I'd rather play good maps than a "variety" of shitty maps
-
"We want to create some variety in the PvP experience from Season to Season, and one way we’re doing that is to bench some maps for the Season." Not even in the same conversation anymore. You're actually an idiot.
-
So...you call other people idiots because they disagrees with you?
-
Only when they can't follow general conversation.

Editado por BoyarD: 9/6/2019 9:01:11 PMWell it's not your game and I agree with what the developers are doing for once. There were some things that needed to be adjusted.
-
Lol that's right, crumble and just tell me I didn't make the game.
-
What other argument should I make? You will just disagree anyway. People wanted the game to be more challenging but now they are complaining with the recent nerfs. With the crucible maps, some of then really needed to be changed. The spawns were atrocious and did not fit well for 6v6.
-
Like I said I'm not disagreeing on the fact maps can be worked on. But defending bungie's spin doctoring of the reasons isn't possible. Nobody can defend variety by way of taking 30% of pvp maps away.
-
The maps they’re removing all have fundamental problems. Like Dead Cliffs. I love the map, but the spawns are so -blam!-ed.
-
Editado por Truthiness_Inc: 9/6/2019 2:55:01 PMSo they should say "maps got probs, we're removing to fix" not "this removal promotes variety lol".
