Why is comp so damn toxic?
So I get hate mail (like two and a half minutes worth of voice recordings) from two different people because they were mad that I killed them then I get suppressed mid shade step so they think i'm t-bagging even though it seems pretty obvious seeing as i was mid animation. Am I expecting too much of people to have rational thought?

I got hate mail for killing a team with an auto. Nature of the babies to just get angry.

8 RespuestasYou really got mad enough over some hate mail to make a post about it? Just turn messaging off and you'll have a much better comp experience. I get about 1or 2 messages a week from people and some of them are fantastic. I think my favorite message after destroying a team was a guy said "GG Pig Turd". I still laugh at that one. And only respond to them with pictures of fuzzy bunnies and unicorns. That really gets them fired up.

That’s just the way some people are unfortunately. Not everyone is calm or even rational when playing PvP. They were most likely just frustrated with the comp experience rather than frustrated with you. All the advice I can give you is just keep moving on. If they want to be negative, let them be negative to anyone else but you

I had a couple good games in comp yesterday. Apparently I haven't got to the good players yet.

I'm sure they do it to others too. Comp is broken in my opinion and having a 2 to 5 win streak then losing 27 matches in a row after sucks and that's if ur soloing comp. U bought the game, play it the way u wanna play it and ignore the rest.

1 RespuestaIssue #1 P2P connections with zero form of SBMM and a pathetic excuse of CBMM makes for a horrible experience all around. Issue #2 Bungie has absolutelt no idea what the word "balance" even means, pretty sure they cant even spell it. If youre not using 100% meta youre not going to compete, at least in comp. You can get away with it easily in QP, but comp is meta only. They may as well have set loadouts and only allow that to be used. Issue #3 The person(s) that designed competitive have left bungie and the dev team has no idea how to run it without them. Comp should have been scrapped and removed long ago. Issue #4 Toxic community caused by the above issues. If you solo, good luck. If you LFG good luck because 90% of the LFG posts want the top 10% of players only, even though they themselves are barely holding a positive KD. Comp in the destiny franchise always has and always will be a massive toxic sewage pit for the lowest of the low. I got hate msgs for using guns no where close to meta when doing my recluse attempt and i soloed. Didnt have any of the meta weapons, didnt have any good armor hell i didnt even use exotic armor. I had no perks for the weapons i was using. So far off meta it was hilarious and still got hate mail. Best advise? Go for whatever youre going for, ignore the crybabies, get the weapon you want then leave comp and never look back. And tbag the haters, thats important too.

1 RespuestaWeird. Comp is way more classy than QP or IB in my experience. Barely any bagging above Fabled. I play most games around 2700-3000 Glory and people hardly emote at all.

You will always ALWAYS get toxicity anywhere competition is present. It's a human nature thing. I saw this a lot when I was competing in R/C car racing a few years ago. Fist fights literally broke out when you had cash prize races at some events. Screaming, cursing, yelling, threats. Hence, I no longer race R/C cars competitively anymore.
