I just watched a really good video from Aztecross about subclass abilities from D1 that he would like to see return in D2. It reminded me of how much fun the Fireborn ability was. For those who did not play D1 it enabled Solar Warlocks to self res from the dead by hitting their super. It had a lot of uses in both PVP and PVE. It saved many a Raid, Nightfall and Heroic Strike from disaster. But it was really the most fun in PVP. Even in the last year of D1 players would be taken off guard by it. The best (and most fun) use was when you were killed at a Control Zone (particularly if there were several opposing players there). The key to using it properly was to wait 4 or 5 seconds before activating it (amateurs would hit it right away and most times would end up get nailed right away too) and just as 4 or more guardians would be doing their victory dance while capping the zone (or even better t-bagging you) BOOM you self res and take out all of them! That was always a riot! Anyone else miss this?

6 RespuestasNo! Another cheap tactic, just like last stand in cod.
-
D1 any subclass > D2 = Bathtub to ocean.
-
I prefer the new subclass with well and healing grenades rather then a self res. Not really useful unless you die frequently.
-
I used to use a warlock in D1, honestly -blam!- no.
-
Nope. It was a crutch and can stay gone
-
Not really self rez, I just miss the sundsinger super in general.

Editado por DarkOverlord_9: 8/28/2019 7:05:50 AMYa but this incompetent company always makes decisions without considering the fans.
-
It also enabled a lot cheeses in D1.
-
Warlocks should’ve had this ability along with well of radiance. Having the option to come back from the dead would’ve been nice
-
Or you just not self res 'cause that pro gamer is a monster with a sniper rifle and he will it that shot.

Editado por Kouz_MC: 8/28/2019 4:45:06 AMNo please for the sake of gaming never again. All the scrubs never creating orbs, hiding until they get their res back, or worst so we can hear some total scrub request a warlock at Oryx Echo or the like. PS I loved crota precisely bc of that. the self res were slightly in panic.
-
I miss it but that's mainly because I prefer everything about it over well and made raid come back hyped even better.
-
1 RespuestaI miss non roaming titan smash 😞

ABSOLUTELY N O T Self Rez cheesed Raids and made Trials a mess. Ruined PvE and PvP alike because Death was NO LONGER CONSEQUENTIAL. Wipe mechanics could be circumvented and rounds could be overturned when you had already failed an encounter or the enemy team had already won. Self Rez was a MISTAKE.
-
Honestly, nope. It was basically: "Oh, I made a horrible mistake - let me reverse said mistake with barely any penalties what so ever." Some of the endgame activities that I completed for the 1st time were only done because of self-rez, not because of the choices or decisions we made i.e. Skolas and parts of Crota.

I walk just fine, no crutch needed
-
2 RespuestasGood Riddance, leave it in the grave where it belongs.
-
Warlock self res was for scrubs who couldn't stay alive.
-
I'd settle for Sunbrakers Gauntlets and Dual-longer lasting Solar Grenades again.
-
From a pve perspective i do really miss it, it was really cool to make strategies counting on resurrection 🤘🤘🤘
-
Would also need OHK fusion grenades. The sticky grenades now have literally zero magnetism
-
It was so broken and I loved it

8 RespuestasEditado por puppyk1sses: 8/27/2019 11:27:07 PMNah, in PvE it was junk. If you didn’t die you just sat there holding onto it forever, or you could pop it to get subpar damage grenade spam. Whoop de doo. Was a crutch for bad players. And in pvp against anyone good it was a free kill for them and a wasted super for you.

Self Rez can go die in a ditch, come back and get spawn sniped. I'm take Radiance, ToF and VF greandes back in a heartbeat. Heck, take out WoR and give us D1 Radiance. 👍

Yep, never should have been removed.
