I just watched a really good video from Aztecross about subclass abilities from D1 that he would like to see return in D2. It reminded me of how much fun the Fireborn ability was. For those who did not play D1 it enabled Solar Warlocks to self res from the dead by hitting their super. It had a lot of uses in both PVP and PVE. It saved many a Raid, Nightfall and Heroic Strike from disaster. But it was really the most fun in PVP. Even in the last year of D1 players would be taken off guard by it. The best (and most fun) use was when you were killed at a Control Zone (particularly if there were several opposing players there). The key to using it properly was to wait 4 or 5 seconds before activating it (amateurs would hit it right away and most times would end up get nailed right away too) and just as 4 or more guardians would be doing their victory dance while capping the zone (or even better t-bagging you) BOOM you self res and take out all of them! That was always a riot! Anyone else miss this?

Nope. I never used it because I liked slinging grenades, and Fireborn gave me less time to do that.

2 RespuestasUnnecessary super now minus the “I -blam!-ed up perk” radiance gives you everything you need while your getting super energy being restored for the next radiance. Also as a side note I preferred the old wipe systems in the old raids as all the token system has done was actually made it more difficult for less skilled players to participate. What I mean by that is in old raids if someone was a bit bad and died more frequently you could keep getting them up after 30 secs and hard was no revive. I believe this made people better at raiding as normal allowed all the practice and hard was for a skilfully executed completion

I only play hunter so I have PTSD for self res warlocks as I was always on the business end of a firebolt nade.

1 RespuestaDo I miss Sunsinger? Yes, yes I do. Do I miss Self Res? HECK NO, That shit can stay gone
-
I was a hardcore sun singer player in D1, used it for pretty much everything. It was a subclass that really catered to the people like me who hold on to their super until they need it most. Also paired really well with Tlaloc in crucible. (Can we get that gun back plz?)
-
The only time I used self res warlock in D1 was when I was soloing the Templar in VoG. The rest of the time on my warlock was using shatter and obsidian mind.
-
-
I have no strong opinion one way or the other. And I was a self rez main in D1.
-
yes the amount of times self res stopped you going to orbit for nightfalls and raids.

Editado por TheBostonbean: 8/28/2019 1:30:12 PMThe Warlock was my main in D1 and self-res saved myself and my team in Nighfalls, Raids and the occasional Trials from disaster many times. Those were different times. D1 seemed harder and more challenging then D2 were everyone staying alive in certain activities was crucial. There really is no need for self-res in the current game.

It worked great with T’laloc!
-
No, but I rarely played on my Warlock.
-
Pretty sure the only seventh column i ever had was when I popped radiance near the end of an iron banner match in middle of a kill streak.
-
Nah I always ran the Nothing Manacles with unlimited shatter grenades, I would get so bored sitting on a super and only using it for a do over.
-
-
Yes I do miss it but I don’t think I’d find a reason to use since warlocks are really good now, pve wise
-
No. The only people who miss it are selfish. They never used their super once .
-
Wouldn't work in D2 as it has no impact on game play. If Trials comes in a toned down version and maybe in survival. The one I enjoyed it the most was elimination/trials, the other team just stopped playing when the "opponents eliminated" appeared, you could still self-res 2-3 seconds later and the screen would just disappear and game would go on. Also saved our asses from some Nightfall runs, could still res after the "your light has faded" or whatever appeared.

Too bad this game is only pretending to be a MMORPG otherwise we would not only have self res back but even more expanded options on top of that
-
Yeah, scrubs.

21 RespuestasNope. So glad it gone and hope it never comes back. Trials was worse for it. Plus I hated having people join a raid or nightfall and just sit on their super cause they were afraid, meanwhile the rest of the fireteam isnt dying and is contributing with supers. It was a crutch.
-
Nope. Glad it's gone.

6 RespuestasNo! Another cheap tactic, just like last stand in cod.
