Make incentives to do playlist strikes before making more of them. Please. We don’t need more strikes right now, we need more reasons to do them voluntarily (not quests, I mean strike exclusive rewards). 2 (or 3 for non-PS platforms) strikes is definitely enough and is pretty standard for these DLCs especially with all of the other, probably more enjoyable, content they’ve announced.
2 strikes
A new raid
A new dungeon
At least one exotic armor piece per character
At least 5 exotic weapons (6 if you count Wavesplitter for non-PS platforms)
Overhaul of the Crucible’s playlist system and ranking system.
2 new Crucible maps
A new destination
A new story
Nightmare Hunts
A REDACTED activity
Nightfall overhaul
Armor 2.0
Artifacts
Finishers
Universal ornaments
Season of the Undying (and whatever that entails)
Sandbox changes
And definitely more as they don’t typically like to show us everything they got this early.
This DLC is definitely not lacking on content. As for quality... we’ll have to wait and see.

I would like to see them free up space possibly by removing the old raids for the new ones. But in the same time expand on the concept of the menagerie. Take all the old raid bosses and put their fights on a random rotation in the new menagerie along with their loot pools. Keep the mechanics the same as best as possible but remove wiping. It’ll be old gear but give people who want to experience the old content somewhat stress free to do so. Or keep the old raids and implement this strategy in a new Menagerie so people can learn hands on what to do without much repercussions that they’d find in a raid if they died a lot. Have no exotics in the loot pool. Have tokens and 1 set piece of gear from the raid in there that’s say “drained” or something that requires a regular raid clear to fully restore it to top quality. Be it armour or guns. Then they could go into raids saying I KWTD. Or do none of the above. Just random thoughts

Not a new destination, finishers aren't content, the 2 strikes are probably modified story missions, the raid is probably gonna be a glorified strike, D1 exotics, and a bunch of re skins
-
-
PvE as a whole is just a glorified Patrol lol
-
Much of that "content" isn't actual game content e.g. finishers, and the game has huge swathes of content that are made irrelevant by the new stuff or need to be addressed such as the strike playlist itself. Hyping up the story is also nonsense considering how terrible Bungie's stories have been in game. Finally the whole basis of the DLC is refurbishing the moon. Y'know, old content? At least half of the assets are already there for them to work with and they could only come up with two strikes? What exactly is being funded with the mtx money and "box" purchases of expansions?
-
A seriously bad Dev Team is what we have. That is why they cannot build expansions that aren't just an additional 10 hours of content, hence, why we have the grind that we have.
-
'at least 1 exotic per character' Whoppdee freaking dooooooo It's embarrassing
-
Not saying they can’t do better but it’s still more than they’ve given us in some seasons before. And also “at least.”
-
It's not a new destination as much as you want it to be.
-
It’s not a port of D1’s moon patrol area, and will be almost unrecognizable. I count it as a new destination.
-
Mars isn't new but it is. So is earth who cares what makes you think we weren't going to revisit these places?
-
Hmmm from what I've seen it looks the same and they have just ported it over and updated it.
-
From what I see whiners being whiners. Listen if 30$ or 40$ is to much for you it's ok. People spend money on meaningless shit and were here fighting over it. How -blam!-ing dumb. Seriously. Play dont play idc he dont care you dont care so why the hell are we here ?
-
Price isn't an issue but you can't argue that bringing back a d1 location and loads of d1 bosses is new content.
-
Listen if it works within the realm of the story line and lore then I truly dont care if I go back to everything in d1. Sorry you dont enjoy the game.
-
The first is exactly the D1 moon area, like exactly the same. Check the screenshots, and map. They've added 2 lost sectors, that's it.
-
Dunno looks like the new location is in the same spot at the bridge and hole we used for Crota. Maybe even reuses the same bridge.
-
I don’t want it to be anything. I already know it is a reskin and I could hardly care.
We don’t need more strikes right now
As much as I agree with the idea of giving us more incentives, I absolutely can’t agree with this. Strikes are one of the main pillars of the game, and we won’t be getting any new ones until over a year since the last ones were added.
-
I wouldn’t mind more strikes but I’d much much much rather have them make the strikes we have matter than make more strikes I’ll like playing once and then groan when I see it again in playlist because it isn’t Lake of Shadow or Tree of Probabilities (the fastest strikes).
-
But even with the incentives you listed, once we have those incentives we’ll just be playing the same strikes over and over again. They could add an exclusive piece of gear to every strike, and once we get perfect rolls for that, what is there? Just another mostly useless playlist like we’ve had for the past year.
-
Yeah but it adds longevity. I don’t know how many strikes you did in Destiny 1 but I did not have god rolls for all of the gear I wanted from those. It’s a much better solution than just adding more strikes to AFK.
-
I didn’t really go for god rolls in D1, and if I’m honest I still don’t. I’m mainly a PvE player, and let’s be honest, PvE is a joke when it comes to difficulty.
-
Well yeah, I play a lot of Crucible so having perfect rolls is very useful. Also I just like having god rolls because they just feel really powerful even if I don’t need them to be successful in PvE. It’s not everyone’s thing but a lot of players love that chase. It’d keep the playlist bare minimum alive at the very least. I do think the strike design could be better but I can’t really pin what made D1’s strikes more enjoyable design-wise compared to D2’s. Could just be some part nostalgia but I don’t think that accounts for the entirety of it. What I do know is that I’d suffer through some of the worst strikes as long as there was a good reward at the end. I’d find grinding even some of my least favorite strikes fun. Also bring back those stupid flying-in dialogue intros to strikes. Something about it just feels right. 😂

Oh joy. At least one exotic armor piece per character - one? Really? Content is hard, amiright? At least 5 exotic weapons (6 if you count Wavesplitter for non-PS platforms) - this includes more D1 guns returning...yeah Overhaul of the Crucible’s playlist system and ranking system - Destiny PvP is trash 2 new Crucible maps - see above A new destination - not new, was in D1 A new story - will see a lot of returning characters from D1 story, calling it now Nightmare Hunts - meh A REDACTED activity - remember when opulence was a redacted activity? 🤔 Nightfall overhaul - matchmaking? No? Armor 2.0 - how about instead of overcomplicating the system you just offer more variations with unique perks? Artifacts - were in D1 Finishers - this is not Mortal Kombat or the WWE Universal ornaments - cosmetic, who cares. This isn't Dresstiny. Season of the Undying (and whatever that entails) - yay, more "season" content set to expire in 3 months! Sandbox changes - when has this ever worked in the players favor?
