Why isn't the Darkforest a part of the EDZ to explore?
Bungie please open a path area where we can explore the Darkforest and please connect into the EDZ as one single space. The dark forest is intriguing and different and full of unanswered questions that i've had before when i first saw this beautiful place. It's a shame we can't explore and go hunting for lore in the Darkforest. The edz would probably be the largest open space for us to roam if you'd design a space for the players to explore. But i can see it would take as much time to develop it since it's a forest. Forests are large in size. But just wanted to bring that up for something in the future hopefully. Because it is an amazing space when i played in the mission to get the light back. Anyways you're doing a wonderful job Bungie,none the less. Keep it up🙃.

From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

I would’ve liked it if we could pass through the Dark Forest to get to the Farm. Having the farm connected to the EDZ would pretty neat!

Are you a Bungie employee trying to gauge the level of crap players are willing to take in Fall? If not, you should know that there’s no more lore in D2 other than that coming out of a kindergarten novelist.

1 RespuestaTotally agree would love to explore every part of destiny but locking some of it in missions was a little disappointing. U cant fully appreciate the scenery when u are getting shot at from all Angles lol. Exploration is one of my favourite parts of destiny. My carefree hunter nature demands it but I'm running out of places to explore.

The other area which would be great is Mercury's infinite forest, it would be great if there was an infinite (excuse the pun)exploration quest where you could lock in your progress and return at your leisure

Either that or they just forgot about that’s definitely a possibility with them also. 8 RespuestasBecause everyone wants destiny to be fun cutesy shit. It’s so disappointing everything reflects it from characters, Armor designs and everything else under the sun. There’s not even time zones in the game. Had no idea that the earth was an illusion and was only day time. Shadow keep could be the step in the right direction. If only they can deliver.

1 RespuestaAnyone from D1 days would remember exploring the spaces for lost ghosts and gold chests. I'm surprised Bungie didn't bring that back, or something similar other than gold chests.

1 Respuestahonestly, like many destinations. i wouldn't go there just cause it was available. Mars had plenty of explorable places in D1 that i just didn't go to.

So much wasted areas players have no interest going back to or will see only one time. Just in the EDZ we have the lost forest (on it's own would make a great STALKER like location) Sojourner's Camp, Maevic Square, Hangman's Pass. Even the locations that are tided to heroics/story progression should be in parts lost sectors, it would add more things to do in the open world with little to no effort. But this is a problem I see with most of the games locations or planets. And you got to love mercury, visually it's one of my favorite locations on par with Nessus I just wished it was the size of Nessus. I'm really trying to love this game but it hurts to see so much wasted potential.

The introduction quests even stated that in the text. AFAIK the Vex never conquered Earth, therefore there can't be a direct portal in the EDZ patrol zone. They only put in an activity start icon in the tower because they couldn't implement it on Mercury, which was a DLC location. And non-DLC players had no access to Mercury. Dark Forest was an event, therefore it had to be made available for all players.
