The longer I live the more I question why we even practice lethal forms of warfare.
Why do we teach soldiers to shoot the enemy in the head when shooting them in the legs (and arms depending on circumstance) would be just as effective at neutralizing them but also give the enemy a much higher chance of living a normal life once the battle is over?
Why do we keep putting money into more powerful and dangerous weapons rather than shit like a anesthesia bomb? Or bullets that temporarily paralyze their target, and do little physical damage?
This would also allow our country to go full pacifist but still intervene internationallly to end conflicts or injustice.
Edit: Nevermind. Nobody ever actually seriously considers what I have to say. Just know I'm severely disappointed and saddened by the majority of replies. I will not respond to each individual, I no longer have the energy for it. I'm going to go forget these replies ever happened as best possible for my sanity's sake, before it causes me to kill myself.
