Think about what higher tier investment you'd like for gear.
(Armor perk enhancing, stat re-rolls, armor archetype re-rolls, etc)
Consider that it is obtained via cores.
(utilizing the available side grind and managing the resource amongst other similar level options like Masterworking)
Now, do you see it being a huge interest in the community considering Infusion and the very likely reality that people will not sacrifice their ability to do it?
(Will people really use it? Ask Masterworks.)
If that answer is no, then logically speaking, Core potential is deadlocked because of infusion.
Try to think seriously btw and not troll.
Edit: realizing I should have left a third choice for those just not even caring.

35 RespuestasCores became a deflationary currency the moment it was attached to infusion and Bungie deliberately under supplied the game with them. A currency becomes deflationary when what you can buy with is out of sync with how difficult it is to obtain... IOW. What you can buy with it isn’t really worth the difficulty of earning it. So people hoard the currency in order to reduce that pain and uncertainty. The Paradox of Thrift takes hold and the economy it fuels grinds to a halt. It’s the mechanism that created The Great Depression, as well as The Great Recession 10 yers ago. There are only two ways out of this. Either sever the link between the currency and infusion. So it goes back to end-game status it once had. Or do what Bungie is doing. DEVALUE the currency by making it much more available. But when you do that you essentially make them no different than planetary mats....essentially showing that their inclusion in infusion cost are utterly unnecessary. IOW. With the new bounties, glimmer and mats are more of a constraint in my ability to infuse than cores are. So what’s the point. Cores are in No Man’s Land. Not scarecrow enough to really impact what I infuse, but still not plentiful enough to make Masterworking practical because of their need in infusion. The system is simply not well thought out and will NEVER work well as designed.

1 Respuestano stupidity is hindering enhancement cores. How people choose to use them is up to them. but, you can't expect to use them as intended if you choose to squander them. Simple as that. Understanding the economy is key here. Choosing to undermine your own economy, not listen to those who do understand etc is not going to make the system work better for you.

I think what people don't understand about this issue - is it isn't a problem because they are unobtainable or that they prevent you from infusing. The problem is you only use them for infusing. I have only masterworked a single piece of gear this year, and that was because I had a bow with a draw time masterwork. People horde them so they can infuse gear, so even if you have a 100 of them you aren't masterworking all of your favorite items because you have to save them for infusion. Before they added them to infusion I had multiple masterworked guns and a complete set of masterworked armor. Now i do not have any. The entire argument that it adds meaning to picking your gear or that there are sources to get them from doesn't change the fact that the current system prevents you from infusing gear you won't use as your main setup, and it prevents you from actually masterworking items - which is limiting player choice. It isn't even adding a grind, it's simply limiting player choice.

2 RespuestasSorry to say this but nothing has improved ..... introducing gunsmith bounty’s was just bungie way of trying to silence masses that were complaining about it but instead of going back to the old system of infusing they had to turn it into a shit fest by making one excuse after another and add insult to injury they didn’t even try to resolving the issue about enhancement cores in the game

3 RespuestasA question like this is the same as asking if 2 + 2 equals 4. Or if the sky is blue. Or if Bungie fanboys have an IQ that fails to rival their tooth count.

Re rolling the masterwork stat or improving different aspects of armor and weapons would be the ideal thing but instead we use them to something where they shouldnt even be needed.

5 RespuestasThis is a post I can get behind. You address the issue, not the players who think differently. This kind of feedback encourages discussion. Anyone who wants to come in and be rude, it’s on them now:)
this is in reference to our last run in
Editado por TheShadow-cali: 7/7/2019 6:33:04 PMIf they were used like Motes of light was that gave you more options, it would have made a difference adding them as part of the infusion. I think the lack of use for them is the main problem, but it doesn't help to create a trade-off every time they add new ways to acquire them. I mean, does Spider really need to have double the cost every time you purchase one from him? does the cost for to masterwork need to keep going up? I'm really curious about what they are actually going to do with this next DLC when it comes to cost.

6 RespuestasEditado por V4L4KH: 7/6/2019 10:26:51 PMI'm not bothered by the existence of the cores, I'm pissed about how they work, they sould be used to infuse exotics, masterworking gear and maybe if they ever bring back reforging to change the perks and that's all, not for infuse. Yes many say they're plentiful bla bla bla, that's a fallacy, they added more ways to obtain them but it requires A LOT of grinding to get a level 10 masterworked weapon with a hellot of resources and cores, now when masterwork was introduced you only required 10 and a handful resources, so this timesink is utter crap, because buffing useless stats like handling ain't worth such a grind, maybe adding an elemental resistance to a specific set of armor can do it but then again, it requires a lot of grinding that wasn't there when the feature first came out

Editado por Darth Lunchbox: 7/7/2019 2:36:40 AMYep, I don't masterwork anything because of it. I've even stopped leveling up my other 2 characters, now I only run Warlock. Now that I have my Warlock up to level 750, I'm just hoarding cores.
-
I'm waiting on armor 2.0 to hit. I can't ride the "core" bandwagon since the gun dealer bounties and clan level thing came out. I'd be comfortable with cores masterworking and re rolling perks now.
-
infusion cores are hindering the potential of Destiny2 , once they introduced them i had to quit
-
4 Respuestascores should have been used to re-roll your gear instead of infusion. masterworking and re-rolling gear thats about it. THAT is a impactful choice not the current infusion use. remove the cores from infusion and add a re-rolling option for gear and put cores in that instead.

TJM99 with his daily dose of enhancement core moaning... 😂 😂

9 RespuestasEnough. You can easily get 9 cores a day from Banshee and another 2 cheap from Spider.

2 RespuestasStop infusing.

14 RespuestasNo. Infusion is not limiting the potential of E.Cores, because E.Cores don't need to do everything. A new item(s) can be introduced to provide for any new function.
-
I still think that infusion should have been ported over from D1 as is. The economy was plentiful and rewarding. Still found limits by needing exotic shards. Why they tossed it out the window for the current set of garbage, I will never know....

Let's be real here, it's genuinely not a problem now. Unless you barely play the game, it takes no more than 1 month to hit max light in a season. That means you have 2 months of a remaining season to use the cores you earn to pump into infusion. This will happen season after season, so only new gear will need to be masterworked if you actually do things right. But in reality, the only thing worth masterworking is weapons. Armor needs to have a more tangible benefit from being masterworked such as 1 extra orb upon super activation at Tier 5 for example, before being worth the currently useless investment.

Yeah, tis true. "Whether I wanted it or not, I've stepped into a parenting position with the Children of Offtopic. So let's get to carrying out those chores, one by one. Corning Ware. From what I can gather these dirty dishes hold the Siege Dancers on an Imperial Kitchen Sink outside of The Laundry Room. They are very dirty, but with the right team, we can punch through that grime, take this beast out, and break grimes grip on our dishes." - Commander Xombie

3 Respuestas60-70 easy cores per week through bounties, Combined with any matter weaves and spider purchases, As well as SMART and PATIENT infusing, Will reward more masterwork weapons and armour (even if masterworked armour is pretty worthless) I'm all for taking them out of infusion but they're not even a problem anymore.
