Hey, Bungie, what happened to Guided Games?
It would be nice if you can finally take it out of beta, and make it actually useful for finding a team in-game. For a seeker it takes more than an hour to find a team and less than a minute for a clan to find a seeker. Seriously, you should revive this enormously potential tool.
EDIT: Thanks to all for commenting solutions and core problems about this! I hope Bungo actually reads this to implement rewards to the system.

1 Respuestathe whole game is a beta
-
It’s actually fun to guide. I’ve done 2 in the past week.

A big problem with GGs and raids in general is their approachability. They practically have none and it's a real issue. Raids have become so bogged down with convoluted mechanics that most players find it difficult and time consuming to pick up a random player and try to explain to them all the ins and outs. What Bungie needs is a way to teach raid mechanics to people to ease the learning curve. Activities similar to the Menagerie or more dungeons with raid mechanics, maybe even a match made "lite raid" that teaches the basic mechanics are needed.
-
They should open it up so it's not a clan-thing and just a fireteam thing.
-
Guided games is actually great if it didn’t require to guide with clan mates. So let’s say I got some friends who are not in my clan and we wanna find couple new people. We can’t use it. I think guided games would be more useful and alive if it didn’t require to play with clan mates.

I've changed my mind about matchmaking in raids. I hope bungie adds it so the forums explode with posts pissed off at bungie because they made a "bad system" because players keep getting paired in with no mic players, players of mismatched languages, and players who don't know what they're doing and are just screwing around. Then the posts about how raids are "hard" and "too complicated" from those same scrubs. The flames of their demise will be glorious.

2 RespuestasMatch-making should be a thing for raids. Gives everyone the option to experience a raid. Folk can either find their own team of six or if they don't feel comfortable doing that then they can wait for match-making and attempt it that way. No skin off anyone's nose. Just to note, if people are fed up with 'blueberries' or whatnot, not being able to do the raid then just leave the raid and find an actual team through LFG or something. Everyone wins!

Match Making... I don't want a guide...
-
1 RespuestaNo one actually wants to guide. It was put in with the hope that raid teams would use it to sherpa.. but instead they want a reward. You'll hear that "if guides were actually rewarded" that is a big part of the problem. Helping should be the reward IMO. Especially if that team runs raids often. Another part has to do with some ppl using it with no mics. That's another problem.
-
Forget guided games, Bungie is betting everything on LFG and taking them out of the game in fall.

7 RespuestasEditado por Krantzstone: 7/4/2019 2:53:49 PMBungie: In order to make 'Guided Games' more meaningful, we've decided to rename them to 'Unguided Games' and changed it so you have to manually find someone to guide you via shady third party LFG sites. Bungie take no responsibility for your online experience while visiting third party sites.

1 RespuestaOn pc this feature is 100% useless thanks to lfg discord servers. On Xbox there is a lfg system apparently. And ps4...well...just use lfg too.
-
Still in beta I guess
-
streamers complained about random joes getting the same weapons as them so bungie didn't upgrade it plus it takes 45+ minutes for a seeker to find a game, there is too many seekers compared to guides
-
Did it once as a guide. It gave us someone that didn't speak English. We still beat the raid with the person, but really?
-
2 RespuestasWho would use guided games when you can use lfg and raid tracker and all that good stuff? No one wants to waste time with a complete random
-
Editado por Shockwave 989: 7/4/2019 11:48:14 PMWith Xbox having its own LFG the system rarely sees use here.

Why on earth would anyone want to Sherpa blue berries without some kind of incentive? The whole thing makes no sense. If you have a raid group, on rare occasions it's fun to walk a new player through a raid and make a new friend in the process. But the idea of taking randos through COS and trying to explain the 3rd and 4th encounters is utter nonsense. I have tried doing that raid with randos and wiped 4 times on the very first encounter which is one of the easiest parts of any raid. Shoot some knights, kill some ogres, done. But no, people are so -blam!- they can't figure it out and then randomly quit. The 3rd encounter took one group almost 2 hours and by the end everyone was screaming at one another and frustrated. To guided games I say:-blam!- that. Go on LFG and just find a group like regular people. Or you know, make some friends or join a clan.

The tipping point for me actually buying d2 was guided games! I'm really dissappinted that it wasn't developed properly; I would have used this a lot otherwise!!! There needs to be some progress; the way I see it, why not agree on a few things and work from there - nb: guided games only!! 1. Have triumphs/completions or a combination of both categorise players as either guides or seekers automatically per raid 2. Have matchmaking work on an acceptable basis... I.e. a fireteam must consist of at least three guides (five being the most*) 3. Guides are not limited to pre made teams or clans: a squad can be formed from solo players... once three guides are in, priority will be given to adding seekers until the team is formed. 4. Pre made teams are limited to a maximum of three seekers and cannot contain more than five guardians upon matchmaking - not sure about this??? Don't want to prevent friends playing with one another, but don't want to make it a lucky dip for whoever else is matchmaking 5. The full raid will be completed every time matchmaking is completed - checkpoints be available via non-guided games - not sure on this one??? Don't want to duplicate effort or spoil the experience! 6. Language settings to determine who you will never matchmake with *If there are zero seekers matchmaking, a full team of 6 guides is allowed... time permitting (5 minutes maybe??) Seekers will become guides eventually, who will then be able to help new seekers - so on and so forth!

Honestly? Vets for some reaaon dont want mm for raids, like any type of mm. Thats why it died. Barely anyone uses it and the most vocal part of the community doesnt like it patially purely because of the idea in general.
-
Raids should have Guided Games Nightfalls should have matchmaking
-
No idea why they stopped giving guides rewards. No emblem, no bright dust....stupid.
-
It's still in beta because no one uses it and gives feedback on it
-
Editado por Necrogen: 7/4/2019 7:29:49 PMI use it. Got 3 seekers almost immediately for crown of sorrows. What would be a cool incentive is if they awarded gear, banners, resources if we guide people and successfully complete an activity.
-
Need more rewards for clans so they have more of a incentive to que. It's like in a real MMO where there is 200k dps to 5k tanks. Then those dps are waiting a hour for a instance because their isnt enough tanks to go around. But the reward cant be instant, it has to earned over time to keep the clans using it.
