Conversation with my 10 year old today. I have pretty much abandoned Destiny 2, because I’m just don’t have time to keep up. He LOVES the game, been playing for 2 or 3 months, but alas... “Dad...” Yeah son “I think I’m starting to not like Destiny” Why’s that? “Well, I have school, scouts, and sports, and bedtime, so I can’t play that much” That’s life son, especially when you are a kid “Yeah, but remember how I used my money to get the game?” Yeah “If I quit playing, can I get it back?” Um, no. I thought you loved the game what’s wrong? “Well, they have all these special things, but they are only here for a few days, and I don’t have time to get them, and then they are gone” Well... “But dad, I paid for this game, I should have time to get those things whenever I want” Well...I mean, you have to earn it, I guess... “But dad, that’s just dumb, I can’t help if I’m busy” Lol, okay. I see your point “I don’t understand, I bought it with my money. Like I didn’t think you could buy something like that, but not get a chance to play with all of it” Well...other things are like that too “Like what” Ummm, let me think... “It’s just stupid Dad, none of my other games are like that, are there others?” Yes “I just feel like I’m getting ripped off. I mean, these people that have all this time to do all this, I just don’t understand, like how?” I guess they just make time “I guess, but, I don’t know, just something about it seems dumb to me. I hope all games don’t become like this.” Me too son...me too
