I hate Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten, but you probably can't guess why.
Yup, you read the title correctly. I [i]hate[/i] Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten. [i]Big[/i] shocker.
I'm sure that "xX_Sw4GgY-G0d_Xx" and his entire clan are already typing up comments about how I should "git gud," but I actually don't dislike them for the reason you most likely think I do. In fact, it has nothing to do with The Crucible.
I don't play PvP at all any more, so I couldn't care less about if they're "OP" or not. Instead, those guns annoy me because they're all anyone ever -blam!-ing talks about these days. Every thread is either about nerfing Luna/NF or removing enhancement cores. Instead of making interesting or funny posts that actually take [i]effort[/i] (do any of you even know what that is anymore?), people just flood the forums with useless posts whining about the same stuff. This is why #OffTopic refers to you as the "Salt Mines," and it probably has something to do with why the majority of the interesting forum users from D1 are long gone. PONETHEPOON, Smoggy, JeffTheCabal, you name 'em.
So how about this? Instead of making pages upon pages upon [i]pages[/i] of duplicate threads making the [b]exact same points[/b], you find [u]one[/u] thread for that topic and put your commentary there? Make some room for the posts that people actually [i]want[/i] to read. Maybe when every other post isn't some complaint about whatever the latest "nerf me" weapon or mechanic is (there's always going to be one), people will stop seeing you as such a toxic community.
Unfortunately, this thread will probably get buried under the mountain of rubble threads that this subforum has become home to. Heh, maybe it'll get taken down because I'm speaking the blunt truth. Who knows? Who cares? Unless the #Destiny2 subforum changes drastically, it will continue to be not worth posting in. In the meantime, I'm gonna go back to sheltering in #OffTopic, where the threads are at least [i]occasionally[/i] entertaining.

7 RespuestasI actually did read it....and I think you are flat out wrong. I don't play Comp...and I barely even play QP anymore. But even I play QP enough to see the stifling effect these weapons have on play. You put overpowered weapons in the hands of the game's best players....and then have them act as gatekeepers to prevent other from getting them. Its partly why cheating is running rampant in Comp....and QP is little more than a pubstomping ground. Throw in the lack of SBMM....and Crucible engagement is the lowest its ever been. Only 280K people bothered to show up to play yesterday. After Enhancement Cores, THIS is one of the biggest issues in the game that Bungie just stubbornly refuses to deal with. So no, just because YOU don't feel like hearing about it....doesn't mean that the rest of the community agrees with you...and that this isn't a legitimate area of complaint. Like Cores, adding these weapons were gaurenteed to break the game...But Bungie put their own short term goals ---keeping people playing no matter what-----ahead of the long-term enjoyment of the game by its players.

8 RespuestasYou don't get it. Not Forgotten is total aids. I have it and I can't believe they made a gun this broken. It shoots like a D1 handcannon, back when 3 shots was a kill. Plus it's a 180 so recoil is nonexistent. I can literally map people at pulse rifle range without trying. That's so stupid.

It’s literally just a place for Bungie to gather feedback. It’s not a place to hang out. It’s not a place to come make friends. It’s not a place to find funny stories or made up lore. It’s supposed to be for feedback. The single greatest change Bungie could ever do with this place is disable responses. You see a post you agree with? Up vote it. You see one you disagree with? Down vote it. You don’t see your position? Make a post with feedback. It would literally absolve most of the toxicity in the dumpster fire. If you’ve come here for any other reason but to post your own feedback or give a vote to or against someone else’s post, you’ve failed. Your post complaining about how other people post literally does nothing for the game.

4 RespuestasYou give people too much credit when you say they are reposting the same “content” and “points” about Cores or PvP. All I see is crying and whining. The funny thing I find about enhancement cores is if you compare them to say money in real life. I think bungie is trying to teach people how to be smarter with resources. I’ve had no issues with cores because I know how rare they are so I don’t bother infusing guns unless it’s going to jump 20+ points in light. I’d be willing to bet that a lot of the people complaining about cores live paycheck to paycheck IRL and burn 2-3 cores to make their EP shotty go from 673-679. Now if only they could give me more reason to visit titan for Alkane Dust I’d be happy. That’s the resource I’m constantly running out of. Not complaining, it’s easy enough to farm. I’d be a little happier if that wasn’t the only reason I roam around titan every other week. 😂

2 RespuestasA fun thing to do in the crucible is what I like to call, "Gone fishing." If you're playing control and none of your teammates are helping (such as in any Iron Banner), just do this. Damage/kill one person on the enemy team, emote and run. Drag as many of them as you can straight to your teammate who thinks he's in a clash match and just dump them on him. Proceed to next capture point. Rinse and repeat. Hate mail is so tasty!

Often times than not, I just focus in infusing on one set of armor and weapon loadout and then focus on other armor pieces when I am at max light. I usually go by 10 light. As for Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten, I honestly don't care about those HC. I am not a PvP person to begin with (though I am more of a Gambit person). I already have a dedicated handcannon for each slot: Kinectic: Thorn (whenever I decide to go for it), Spare Rations Energy: Kindled Orchid, Trust, Nation of Beasts

No need to hate, most weapons are over-hyped. They're all right. The NF hits like a truck and is smooth as silk, but they are rarely equipped. I'm addicted to the the Recluse. Now that SMG is Bad Ass.!!!

If the main focus of your issue here is that everyone should consolidate their complaints on a subject under one specific post.... Bungie would prefer that too. By there only being one specific post about a subject, Bungie can push it off the front page and act like it doesn't exist. Fallout 76's forums do the same thing. Anything that tries to force them to pay attention they push off the front page or they just block. Which has made their five remaining players so much happier for not having to listen to the millions of people who have quit the game trying to explain what that found wrong with it. Yes. With no one else playing the game, the hand full of people left are at last free to enjoy the game just as it is........................ Until Bethesda decides the servers are no longer worth the expense and pulls the plug.. The reason you're seeing constant posts about luna's and cores and assorted other "spam post" complaints is because people are tired of being ignored. Bungie tried to start shutting down the forums, got their wrist caught, and yanked head first through a wood chipper when people saw them "shutting down" complaints so now they started putting dialog "this post was inspired by what ever other post" because shutting down the posts actually made people more enraged at being ignored...... The reason why you see post after post on the same issue is because it's the only way to grab Bungie by the collar, rub their nose into their "issues" and say "stop it". The reason why people post over and over is because it's the only thing Bungie responds to.

I would recommend the reddit forums. r/Destinythegame and r/destiny2 are great sub Reddits. Unfortunately this Bungie app forum is a huge -blam!-pool of toxicity and spams. The mods over on reddit actually do a great job at keeping things relatively clean.

I'd love to see forum where topics of discussion have actual pages that way we could always see them without digging dosen of small topics. As Is now subjects are stacking on top of eachother. I may be old-fashioned but imho classic forum view is far more intuitive and clear to see trough.
