No, I’m still not over him. There’s a lot of ambiguity surrounding his life and death, coupled with the fact that we’re still receiving items specifically tied to him including the most recent vigilance wing ornament. It just seems like Bungie is teasing his return.

A Vex-mind tuned into Saint-14's specific light-frequency, and imprisoned the light in a conflux. Countless Vex pour out of it when we unseal it. The light was just sent to a different time. Ghosts cannot revive guardians whose light has been snuffed out. The Drifter witnessed that. The light is still in the Infinite Forest. Unlike the guardians on the moon, Saint's light was not entirely snuffed out. It was just separated from him, like how we were separated from the Light during the Red Legion assault. If Saint's ghost is still alive, It could find a source of light and revive him.

The lore tab on the Perfect Paradox shotgun is a message to our guardian. It basically says that we do infact meet him at some point and give him his shotgun. It also implies he has seen our version of the Last City because he comments on how it's thriving compared to the City of his time.

Wouldn’t be surprised if some weird ass Vex nonsense occurs that throws us into the past which then leads to us giving him the Perfect Paradox shotgun, therefore perpetuating the “Paradox” part of the weapon’s name.

<He's dead, but time travel is a surefire way to see him again. A way to hand him his shotgun.>
