The Adventure “Mystery and Potential”.
We saw..the Drifter’s Trial. The Derelict before the Haul came. The same Emissary of the Nine we’ve seen in Trials before gave him that rock as a sort of “gift”. What “gift”? What purpose does it serve? Well, we know the Drifter has now “transcended his design” because of it.
There are three who have transcended their design. The first, an hourglass counting down with infinite patience. The second, a forgotten blade sharpened anew. And now, the Drifter.
Any thoughts as to who those first two might be? Also, in the lore card we get from this whole thing, this is the story of the Queen, is it not?
Edit: COZMO HIMSELF COMMENTED ON MY POST WHY AM I AUTOMATICALLY THE BEST???

1 RespuestaThe "forgotten blade, sharpened anew" could also be Variks, and we know the Nine influenced his actions.

4 RespuestasI assumed the hourglass would be Savathun since she is always fighting against time and survive her worm & the blade would be Quaria (forgotten but back with it's involvement in the curse cycle)
-
2 RespuestasMy guesses are Eris for the blade one, and the infinite patience bit might be Osiris. Eris is heavily involved with the hive, and was “sharpened anew” by making it out of the hellmouth. Osiris has infinite patience for obvious reasons. Idk though. Those are just off the top of my head without really looking into it yet.

2 RespuestasMy vote would be Osiris and Ada. Osiris with “infinite patience” to explore the infinite forest forever, and Ada being a blade sharpened anew, born a mortal and now a portal forge.
-
5 RespuestasThe hourglass is Savathun, patiently waiting to take us all. Quria is the blade reference, once a Vex mind now transcended into it’s final shape. Don’t trust the nine, they’re evil!

4 RespuestasAm I the only one that thinks the hourglass is the immortal Mara Sov, and the forgotten Blade resharpened is Eris Morn (Hunter, sword logic/dark drinker cutscene)? We have known forever that these two are working with the Nine, and the emissary is just confirming what we as a community already know. I don't think that this was intended as a big revelation or mystery.

7 RespuestasGod-pretenders must be Calus and or Ghaul; but could also refer to Mara. An hourglass with infinite patience could be Osiris. I would say he has transcended his purpose as a Guardian; after all, he was exiled and spends his time traversing the Infinite Forest, fighting the Vex on countless fronts at once. He can also do that thing where he makes solar copies of himself? A forgotten blade, sharpened anew. This could be Rasputin. A forgotten remnant of the Golden Age, not only has Rasputin only recently been rediscovered and reactivated, but at the end of Warmind he transcends his purpose by basically becoming sentient and deciding he will defend himself on his own turns. Plus, with Drifter being the third, then the pattern follows the DLC order; which if the end credits of Vanilla D2 are anything to go by, could be significant...

3 RespuestasWhat if the hourglass is Osiris hence he always messing with vex and time and stuff The blade forgotten could be Eris Morn as she involved with the hive As the drifter involved in taken and they 3 main. Enemy factions

1 RespuestaCould the blade sharpened anew be in refference to Quira?

1 RespuestaEditado por HiddenAlignment: 3/16/2019 11:26:11 PMThe hourglass has to be Mara Sov. She is very patient after all and she could have “transcended her design” by becoming the Queen of a race born from light and darkness while gaining many powers, including a throne world. My best guess on who the sword is would be Oryx. He could have “transcended his design” by receiving his worm and becoming a god by wiping out civilizations. He moved far beyond what the proto-hive were. I could be wrong on both of these claims.

2 RespuestasI think we are the forgotten blade sharpened anew

7 RespuestasMara sov and oryx i think, An old blade. Willbreaker? Plus a likeness of oryx is in t3 Reckoning

10 RespuestasWhat does transcending their design mean? It sounds dope.

Hourglass sounds like a reference to vex or a specific vex to me. Blade may refer to Hive or a specific hive character. Those are my thought only because the hourglass line reminds me of ves and their time-manipulation skills. The blade seems like it could refer to the whole sword logic thing. I'm probably way off but that was my first thought.

2 RespuestasEditado por Nemo612: 3/16/2019 1:43:09 PMThey sound suspiciously like Atheon and Oryx or Crota, but that could just be a coincidence.

I thought of Quria, Blade Transform (the Vex Hydra, taken by Oryx, which is now maintaining Savathun's curse on the Dreaming City) with the blade bit, not sure about the hourglass.
