Wish I'd gotten all the facts before siding with the Vanguard. I suppose that's what alts are for.

1 Respuesta"You tell Zavala and Ikora...the Vanguard...is...the best bet....I ever........ ....lost." Anytime I doubt my decision I think about that line. #TeamVanguard

19 RespuestasFirst off, this isn’t so much a choice of Drifter vs Vanguard as it is a choice between The Shadows of Yor and The Praxic Order. I say this, as both Ikora and Zavala know about the Drifter’s Gambit, and view him as a risk worth taking. Ikora even tells Anour to leave him be. Fundamentally, the choice boils down to wether or not we ought to use the Darkness to fight the enemies of the city. The philosophical debate of ends justifying the means and all that. I chose to side with the Drifter for another - more important- reason. Put simply, despite what we’ve been told about the Drifter being the bad guy, and the Praxic Order being the good guys, the Praxics are objectively in the wrong. 1) The order is seriously considering ousting the Vanguard- despite the fact that this would likely cause civil unrest and result in guardian deaths - the very thing they condemn the shadows for. 2) Anour is rather open about wanting to kill the Drifter, and for what? She admits she has no proof that he has killed. Mostly, her order just condemn any who dare to consider using the darkness. There is a point where censorship becomes intolerance... the Praxic Order is well past that. 3) The order don’t appear to deal in moderates. Any “transgression” involving the darkness seems to justify death. There are more examples, but I think you get my point: we have been lied to. Objectively, the Praxic Order are intolerant extremists who would willingly kill just to censor those curious enough to considering a way that isn’t approved by them.

1 RespuestaEditado por CAMMAX008: 3/16/2019 9:46:14 AMI think bungie's idea was to not give too much information away so that you're forced to make an impulsive decision based on what you already know. It makes it more realistic and puts you in the guardian's shoes as the guardian didn't know they would have to choose a side, the drifter caught then off guard and randomly brought up the subject, forcing them to think on the spot. That's my theory at least.

2 RespuestasLove being called a snitch every other gambit game.
-
2 RespuestasYeah, I'm not too thrilled with it so far. Aunor seems like a zealot and that's not going to end well for anyone. I redid all my Warlock's gear in Monochrome to look like a Stormtrooper because I feel that's appropriate. I *do* like the fact that I can't say I feel 100% confident about either choice, which is interesting. What would've been cool is if we had a third choice, to join neither side and remain neutral, and had both sides trying to recruit you by spreading half-truths about the other.

Can’t have a brexit for it they won’t agree to offers

I don’t know why you would pick the vanguard in the first place🤦🏾♀️

7 RespuestasVanguard did nothing when cayde died...
remember that
4 RespuestasI don't regret it, I just wish I could give Drifter the one thing he gave up on... Hope

2 RespuestasEditado por Pocket Fox: 3/15/2019 10:51:05 AMIt was worth it just to hear him passive aggressively call me a snitch in every match. Invader on the field, snitch! What does he call you if you pledge to him?

8 RespuestasI sided with Ikora and don't regret it. :)
-
5 RespuestasI put basically zero thought into it, I've got three characters so seeing both sides isn't an issue. I'm guessing I'm in the minority but I genuinely wish I was a one time account wide choice, but no doubt people would whinge about being 'locked out of content:
-
What, Aunor didn't IMMEDIATELY make you realise that siding with the Vanguard was a horrible idea? Lolz. She'll get that bullet.
-
At the end of the day light by itself won't cut it.
-
9 RespuestasI’m going to ask the question I ask everyone who regrets siding with the vanguard: have you read all the Warlock Aunor lore pages?
-
1 RespuestaYou can choose the other side on another character lol its not life or death.
-
2 RespuestasAwe, what's wrong.. SNITCH! Lol my friend recorded his for us as he's the only one that went with aunor, he even calls him a snitch when he's in a gambit match, I'd hate that.

1 RespuestaI’m not siding against the Vanguard, I’m standing against the Praxic Order. Those guys sound like dicks.
Though I might side with the vanguard with the other two for the enhancement cores
10 RespuestasEditado por Wywern: 3/14/2019 3:52:01 PMMy only regret is instead of just being loyal to the vanguard behind the scenes to gather info on the drifter's plotting, and actually get to know whether or not the drifter is going down the path of darkness, I just told it to his face and basically made myself useless as a spy, which would have been the most useful thing. For a mostly mute character the guardian sure has trouble keeping their flapping pie-hole shut. EDIT: Also quite bummed out about him calling me a snitch and all that, he has never been an up-front man, so I bet this is gonna affect the future quite a bit. STILL EDIT: If I was forced to actually give the drifter an up-front answer without lying, it would be this: "You have not yet given me a reason to mistrust you more than anyone else, and until you do, I won't act like you have. But if and when push comes to shove, I will side with the city. Don't make me choose."

Editado por Levigumba, Overload's Bane: 3/15/2019 2:27:50 AMAs long as they don't force me to chose between Drifter and Shaxx. I'll always side with Shaxx
-
Instead of 'Side with the Drifter' and 'Side with the Vanguard' it should have said 'Betray the Vanguard' and 'Betray the Drifter'.
-
4 RespuestasI'm playing both sides first before I choose for my main.
-
10 RespuestasYou should’ve chosen the Drifter automatically. Why? The Vanguard are pretty much dead and gone The Vanguard are being shady and shifty as-blam!- with the whole Dredgen’s in the City situation We must use everything we can to defeat our common enemy, even the Darkness itself.

3 RespuestasHere’s something to think about when your character was resurrected did your ghost say hand over your heart mind and soul and now sign on the dotted line or did it say eyes up guardian? The reason why I ask this is why should anyone of us have to pledge allegiance after all that we have gone through as the guardian
