There was nothing "too powerful" about ammo for sleeper or lmgs nor does this nerf change how powerful whisper is.
In fact all this update did was hurt what players enjoyed using.
It would take an exceptionally deluded person to claim that any pve content in destiny is challenging or that nerfing ammo reserves affects how strong a weapon is - you simply just end up using less of it.....
Fact is these things did not need a nerf and the change was simply made because bungie dont like when people enjoy using thier preferred weapon too much

You just debunked your own argument. Something being used less by definition means it is less powerful because it's effect is not as prominent on the situation because it is not in use. So instead of outright nerfing the damage of whisper or sleeper you take away how many times you can use it.

You'll just end up with less ammo and therefore will be running around with empty weapons until you find more ammo [quote]So instead of outright nerfing the damage of whisper or sleeper you take away how many times you can use it.[/quote]Or you recognize that pve adds don't care how fast they die and bring either A) Other weapons up to par or B) Other weapons getting fun upgrades to make them more appealing to play with. You can run any pve content with nearly any loadout. People use the vest because the best appeals to power fantasy and are simply fun. Bungie [u]could[/u] have made other guns to that level. But as usual rather then putting in the work bungie just nerf what people enjoy

You misunderstand. I am not worried about how fast ads die or about the damage of the exotic. I do mean that in an engagement with a boss you do not have as much leniency with a whisper and you might not have enough ammo for those last two yellow bar enemies with that thunder Lord. The weapons themselves don't have as much of an influence over each load out choice or engagement because they can literally kill less things because you don't have ammo to shoot. That's the point bungie an I am trying to make. You defending being over powered has nothing to do with power fantasy

For example you can no longer use whisper to clear the snipers or break the bosses shield crit spots in the final sotp encounter. That's the point bungie an I am trying to make.[/quote]The weapons influence absolutely remains unchanged, lmgs are still the most used for gambit prime, whisper will still be used for large crit boss dps, full auto shotties are still the best options and sleeper will still be used for bosses with less reliable hitboxes then whisper. Its pve, are you actually trying to say it's unfair the ai die to powerful gear? Cus lol if so 3. Power fantasy absolutely has elements of feeling overpowered This nerf accomplishes exactly one thing: making the gear we'll use anyway just feel more lame and angering the players.
