30 hours of playing comp, Temptation Quest at 1%
It'd be nice if the quest progress didn't decrease. It doesn't feel enjoyable to place many hours into the game, advance, and then be reset to 0%. I also feel that SBMM would offer a fairer playing ground for newer players.
Before you think I'm quick to complain, here's a quest that I'm not complaining about: Ace of Spades. Yes, it is taking me a long time to get precision kills, but at least I'm making progress. I'm more than half-way there. It's the progress resetting that is the issue.
EDIT: Finished it in Rumble within a couple of hours. Thanks for the tips.

1 RespuestaTry on Mayhem next time it's available, less chance of Luna stomps that way. I used Titan shield throw and Bygones to get that step done myself

No offense but it seems like that you suck at crucible. Just try to complete it in quickplay,stick with your team and team fire.

2 RespuestasLol you are quick to complain... You only need to maintain a 1KDA maybe even less to progress in this quest. It is a completely fair and reasonable quest step. If you cant do that its the way that you are playing thats the problem. Heres some tips: - Stick with your team and put as much damage into each target as possible - assists count! - If struggling with shotguns etc put on a pulse and sit behind your team. - Try control heavy. Dont let the enemy get it and have the advantage. - Focus on not dying as your main objective. Kills come second. If you do the above you will be done in a few games. If you are on PC I can help you.

2 RespuestasWhy you’re attempting this quest in comp is beyond me. No wonder you’re complaining. You do realize you can actually complete it in QP? Just be a cuck and camp in the back with a bygones and Le Monarque or a different bow. It’s not hard. Maybe will take you 6-7 games.

Wait why wouldn't you do it in QP? Even if you have a great game in comp you'll still get fewer defeats then if you had a great game in QP.

3 RespuestasThink about it. You are empowering a Hive artifact. The Hive's entire religion is based on the Sword Logic, where you gain power from killing things. If you kill something, you are more worthy of existence. However, if something kills you, that thing is more worthy of existence than you are. Thus, it makes sense why you lose progress when you die.

1 Respuestaplay quickplay. More bodies to shoot at, faster pace. Winning is irrelevant. Just make sure you stick to your teammates and cover Comp is a slower pace gamemode.

Based on your pace of play, you only have a little less than 3000 gameplay hours left to go. You can do it!!!

Comp is going to be a bad mode for this in general as most of the game modes have limited kills/lives associated with them.

3 RespuestasI agree. Grinding for the Luna was the worst crucible experience. The first season I got everything done and got 1100 points but couldn’t finish. I had to start again from scratch and hated having to solo queue the whole gun quest. It took ages and count down will forever give me nightmares. God awful game mode.

4 Respuestasyour lying. if your that bad at pvp theirs no way you can even shoot enemies in pve. I have seen pve only players go in and complete the quest in less than 5 pvp matches, also why are you in COMP trying to do this quest. go to quickplay or even rumble, but if your seriously this bad at the game which I highly doubt its not even laughable how bad this is, stay with your team in the 6v6 match, your matchmaking is probably against easier players so I don't expect lunas. tag guardians if you see your losing the gun fight run away or get backup from your team, your goal is not to die, don't worry about kills play passive, keep your distance and get assist easy 5 match completion lol
