Edit: Removed the name of the post, as well as the link to it. It was intended to prevent discussion about it within this post, but it seems I was too late and this topic was derailed already because of it.
I realize a post similar to this issue has already been made, but I'm genuinely curious, and don't know how to reach you outside of Twitter/reddit, which I don't have.
I've recently made a post regarding how bad warlocks feel in the current sandbox. I'm not looking for an answer to that particular post, but you commented saying that we should send in feedback, and you'd send that to the dev team. A LOT of people, Hunter and Titan mains included, agreed that warlocks need some love, and I've even seen more than one post outside of mine saying the same thing. These posts ended up getting some pretty good feedback and received mostly positive responses.
My question, then, is this. How much of this feedback is actually being utilized? Surely we can't expect every single post on this forum to change the build of the game, but posts with a lot of support definitely should influence the sandbox. How much is the development team using? Is the feedback just being shelved, only to be used a year down the line? Why can't we get more concrete feedback instead of just "I'll pass it along?"
This has become somewhat of a meme within the forums, as I'm sure you're painstakingly aware. I don't blame you entirely, I don't doubt that your job is difficult. But I think you have an opportunity here to ease tensions between the community and the team, and in my honest opinion I feel that you've been squandering that chance.
Let us know what the dev team thinks of our ideas, when applicable. Let us know if you've heard a lot of feedback regarding a particular issue. Let us know if an issue is easily fixed or if it'll take time.
Using my previous post as an example, if a large majority of players feel that Warlocks are lacking, it should be a focus for the dev team. It shouldn't take months and months to release a balance patch. If an issue comes up that WILL take time, we need to hear it. We need better communication from the devs in a more timely manner, and I believe you can help on that front.
Many people believe the forums are useless and a waste of time. You need to restore their faith in your platform.

Got it. We’ll work on sniper rifles.

Absolutely fair post and no aggression, yet still silence from Bungie. With the way Bungie is acting toward the community, this game is going downhill fast.
-
2 RespuestasIssue is many posts with "lots of support" arent actually contributing feedback, they are just posts complaining with no evidence to support their claims, no arguement outside of "cause i/"everyone" doesnt like it" and offer no real solutions outside of "nerf it" without specify what about the weapon/subclass/ability/ect is the problem. The reality is the feedback forum is a vocal minority speaking for the majority of the games population, and because of that, a mob mentality sets in, where instead of actually discussing things, most posts boil down to "Im angry, who else is agree? Like if you agree".

We hear you.... In six months!!! Most games receive monthly and even bi-weekly updates to allow constant balance. Bungie on the other hand....

Blah blah blah. Give up on this terrible game and the developers that don’t care.

The forums are useless and a waste of time. I had a ton basically every emblem you could acquire in d1 and guess what, my bungie net and Xbox account were orphaned and all I could do was go to the “help” forums and I use that word loosely as it’s no help whatsoever to find out bungie couldn’t care less even if I could prove which ones I had via email and what was on my characters. Nope bungies forums are a pool of shit which is a fairly accurate representation of destiny as a whole
-
I agree. They need to be more transparent when they say "I'll pass it along".
-
I would like to reiterate that this post has nothing to do with warlocks. I used my old post as an example. This is strictly about communication between the community and the dev team. That's all. Please don't focus on the warlocks bit, it was strictly an example of feedback.

7 RespuestasNot sure how you could think Warlocks are lacking. They have arguably the best PvE Subclass in the game (Well of Radiance) and a top tier Subclass in PvP named Dawnblade. Once OEM and Titan Skating are nerfed Titans will likely end up in the worst spot balance wise.
-
Warlocks are hardly bad. Put on burst glide, transversive steps, dawnblade, and it’s a fantastic pvp class. And let’s not even talk about pve. By far the best class there.

7 RespuestasThis thread is entirely egomania at work. No one cares about your previous posts and ideas. The forums post & feedback numbers are a vastly small proportion to the data Bungie collects internally. They are helpful in the tech Help forums but that's about it. Feedback and General games comments are useless. The reason is that even the most upvoted popular posts (around 1k) are the smallest percentage of the playerbase overall. Basically, what you can infer is that your thoughts effectively mean nothing. Your contention about what the "large majority think" is a joke. *enhancement cores is a good example. A few thousand think it's an awful travesty. Bungie looks at the numbers and power levels and sees it's no problem at all.
-
2 RespuestasAgreed. I remember your post and am probably one of the other Warlocks out here posting similar things.

2 RespuestasEditado por blade329: 2/18/2019 4:49:27 PMThis is just typical stuff from players wanting an advantage. Nothing to see here. Bungie, I give you exhibit "A", players who you should not be listening too. Why? It's because they want the opposite of what a loot based game is. Who goes into a loot based space magic shooter, and complains about the loot and space magic? Imbeciles, that's who. They want Halo, they should go play Halo instead.

Stop acting like cozmo can solve anything. All he can do is sending it to the devs, what will happen is up to them

When Cozmo has something to say...Cozmo will say what Cozmo has to say.

1 RespuestaI think a more important question to ask is, how much of the dev team is still working on D2? I get a strong feeling Bungie is leaving this game in the dust to work on d3. If so, it'd be nice to know so the community as a whole can be more understanding as to why changes aren't happening quickly, if at all.

1 RespuestaThe warlock jump is the worst one for crucible. its very slow and predictable. Except for blink, that's just the other side of the spectrum, it's crazy hard to control.

So regardless of what you say in the post about not needing an answer to the original post here, you want to know (in a round about way) if they saw it and how they use feedback from these toxic forums full of crybabies. Ninety nine percent of which know zero about game development, design, implementation, etc. You made another post just to whine about warlocks "feeling" underpowered (and by that you mean nova warp is no longer OP). This truly takes crying to a whole new level. Just because you change the way you cry about it, does not change the fact you're crying just for the sake of crying. Just because you think you're entitled to a response, doesn't mean that you are. It doesn't matter how many tears you shed, or posts you make, Bungo owes you nothing. You can either choose to play the game the way they are putting it out and the direction they are taking it in, or you can move on. It's really rather simple. Im sure they (and every other person here that's tired of the whining) would prefer you move on.
