1 RespuestaGOP had control of Congress for two years, and could have easily passed funding measure at any time. Now, suddenly, this is an "emergency" and it's all the fault of the left. If this is such an emergency why didn't they do this on day one? They wait for 2 years and all of a sudden, the minute they lose the House, this is an emergency. Additionally, I'm sure there will be legal challenges considering that officials from the President's own administration, including Sarah Huckabee, have acknowledged that most drugs/criminals come into country by way of ports and airports, not the southern border. The President himself, in his press conference yesterday, admitted this wasn't an emergency. The other hurdle that will have to be overcome in court is the fact that the actual crimes statistics, as compiled by the Justice Dept., do not support the claims that crime on the U.S. side of the border is out of control. Many of the counties along the border have lower crime rates than D.C. and Palm Beach county, where Pres. spends most of his time. Also, majority of Sheriff's along border and other law enforcement officials have constantly said physical wall won't work. They think more funding needed for tech resources and manpower. All of these facts may not matter to supporters, but they will matter to a judge, whose decisions are based on facts and evidence.

3 RespuestasEven if there is a wall across the entirety of the border, they will tunnel under it and find boats that will take them around it. All they'll need to do is go a few miles offshore and land on secluded beaches at night. I'm sure this has already been done. All it's going to do is slow some of them down a little. Until we enforce laws that make people who harbor and employ illegal and undocumented immigrants, this will never change.
