Scouts are still weak
Even with the buffs I still don’t have a real reason to use them. Pulses still match the range and have a higher ttk so why bother and also something is up with explosive rounds, they’re not very .. explosive. I just love scouts and want to be using them.
Btw this post was meant for pve.

I quite like polaris lance in pve now you can use threat level in your kinetic slot.

1 RespuestaD1 FWC vendor scout is god roll this week (Firefly, Outlaw, Explosive Rounds, reflex scope). I didn't have enough marks so I hopped into heroic story mission playlist with my Hung Jury. Damn. Just damn. Ignoring the fact that D1 Hunter armor is made out of paper mache and glitter glue, scout rifles and Firefly just absolutely wreck in D1. Hung Jury would be an exotic in D2.

Loved scouts until I got my first bow. Now scouts make me sad. I test it out every now and then and I carry a few in my inventory out of respect for what they were to me and in hopeful anticipation that they’ll find their way back into my heart. But every time I find one with a good roll and set of stats and bust it out and can’t kill an add in one shot... I go right back to being Robin Hood. Bows reach out and touch so much better. And without the zoom they’re much more flexible at all ranges. They feel like what a scout was supposed to be and now for me they fill that niche better. Plus they just feel satisfying to use.

20 RespuestasYes they are. Sadly so are SMGs, ARs, Snipers, & Sidearms. I’d say RLs are weak also. Notice a pattern Game has been dumbed down so drastically to avoid breaking the Crucible. Well now that nobody is playing Crucible anymore perhaps things will change? It’s not like it’s really gonna matter though. Many/those that remain will be playing other games soon enough.

I still use my TotN scout rifle (primary). Love using it too. I like messing with invaders in Gambit as well thanks to the explosive payload perk added on it. It took me almost 5 to 7 shots to down a player when I invaded xD I'm a laid back sort of guy, i dont attack, i defend or support from the rear. Let my teammates be my shield....sorta xD

To buff scouts they would have to adjust the rate of fire. Each archetype kills in the appropriate amount of bullets.

Because there really aren't instance in in PvP where you have long range combat. Make the fighting areas in PvE bigger. Also make bigger crucible maps because I miss sniper combat in Combined Arms :3

What’s funny is I went to my alt account to level it up. There’s this green version of the Black scorpion. i paired it with this white 110 HC and went to pvp. At light level 71/level 8, I was scoring 2+ efficiency. I had to screenshot it because As a relative noob trying to get better (only really went to crucible last month) I was winning against Luna’s howls. Try the black scorpion or it’s iterations. If a scrub like me can have his game elevated by that scout rifle, what more with players with better skill sets.

4 RespuestasBungie nerfed scouts to allow for the Handcannon meta That won't change untill the current sandbox team changes , they obviously are bias when it comes to weapon balance Just like whoever designs armor for D2 now is biased torward Japanese and Chinese styled armor , how bout some variety. Same with weapons.

Pulses need a nerf plain and simple. They make scouts obsolete because they jave as much if not more range, better stability, and are far more forgiving to use.

I've said that before in chats with my clanmates something doesn't seem right with explosive rounds. As well as the weapons it can drop on.

7 RespuestasMy jade rabbit is 3 tapping on long range maps again so I’m happy. Hand cannons and snipers are always gonna be king, though. Get over it.
