I was using Verity's Brow today during some Vanguard Strikes. I specifically was trying to see if it had yet become a viable piece of exotic-armor for the Warlock yet. So I began testing.
Keep in mind that the helmet is supposed to boost the Warlock's grenade-recharge with every energy-weapon kill. Now technically this should include kills from both the energy-weapon slot and heavy as both weapon slots contain energy-weapons. But I won't even pretend that I expected that theory to hold true, and it didn't.
But what I found more interesting was the fact that in half a dozen strikes I was absolutely unable to detect any change in the grenade recharge-rate at all. I even switched to my Last Dance since this week's Vanguard Strikes are modded with Arc-burn. I would say that 90% of my kills during every strike consisted of energy-weapon kills from my Last Dance.
It didn't matter if I sat and watched the meter directly as I got kills, I could not visibly detect any change whatsoever in the rate that my grenade-ability would recharge.
Now I'd be lying if I said that my methods were scientific. I didn't even use a stop-watch. But remember that I said I was completely unable to notice a visible change. If the Verity's Brow is actually functioning then that would mean that the increase is probably less than 5% which is absolutely abysmal for an exotic. I'm fairly certain that the low usage of this exotic will backup my claims as well.
I honestly think that the Verity's Brow is not working as intended. Please verify and adjust accordingly.
Can anyone else corroborate my findings?
