Rng sucks
I have completed sotp raid 23 times now and nothing good. No sparrow, no exotic no threat level with box breathing. I have literally gotten nothing worth keeping for all the runs I’ve done. I’m tired of other people saying oh another master work. Wtf rng needs to go away maybe some kind of unlocking system when you put in enough time

I have thousands of hours in this game and I'm about done. Nobody feels a thrill with drops anymore, rather a feeling of exhaustion. Like a frickin checklist of chores.

I’ll agree Rng sucks, but if everything was given to you, you wouldn’t have anyone to run the raid with anymore because nobody would be playing the game. I have the worst rng luck. I’ve done ALL milestones on 3 chars every week for last 2-3 months and still don’t have gwin vest, one eyed, geo mags and a couple others. I didn’t get get gjallarhorn until the SECOND year of d1 playing all the raids and nightfalls on all chars, every week. It also took over 60 runs of vault of glass to get fatebringer but guess what! If I still didn’t have them I’d still be running them damn raids to get them. Point is yes it’s frustrating but isn’t it much more satisfying grinding for something and finally getting it rather then be givin it right away because you want it? Then you have everything you want and don’t play the game anymore so you’ll come back on here complaining that the game is stale and needs more content

9 RespuestasRNG is healthy for the game, for any game. However, there should be a bad luck protection system, so the chances on getting a desired item increases the more times you go on an activity with no good drops.

My RNG was great today. I spent all month trying to get Cerberus+1 the last random exotic I need and finally, I got Exotics from Tess from 3 separate engrams Best rng ever, so much useful items. /sarcasm.

7 RespuestasDude I’ve got like 35-40 riven kills and no Thousand Voices. I’ve ‘only’ done 8 SOTP clears but guess what...no sparrow or exotic for me either. Or, for that matter, the ship from Shattered Throne. Or any of the good armour pieces from Forsaken despite 300+ hours plus in it. Basically, RNG is so annoying at this stage, I have gone from ‘oh this is exciting to’ ‘oh, I literally don’t care’.

1 RespuestaAgreed, I have been trying to get OEM for ever it seems, since forsaken and nadda. I've done all of the power engrams each week, and raids etc.. I can't get it to drop no matter what I do. It's been the last exotic I need for over a month now.. I keep getting exotics that I already have, Telesto x2, and Cerberus have been my latest drops to which I've had for ever.. RNG sucks the sack..

If you grind daily and constantly you get nothing. After a month of no exotics (again), I took a week off. Came back to do an AR frame in Bergusia. Had a couple augmented frames as well. Got Le Monarque and Ursa Furiosa dropped at the same time. I still maintain its a programmed algorithm. At least my tinfoil hat says so.

I get the message, and am pretty sure i get your error, but i must say threat level cant roll box breathing. It can indeed roll trench barrel though. Pretty sure thats what you meant, but had to make sure

13 RespuestasCan just about confirm that there is an algorythm in place that calculates engagment versus reward level. Every time I have taken a long break, a week plus, I get something juicy. Stopped playing for 2 weeks after my daughter was born: logged on for a couple of hours, and got a catalyst, 2 new exotic drops, good EV package loot, and had the meatball spawn in Gambit, even though I've had Malfeasance since about the first week it was available. Fast forward to today, where I am putting in an hour or two per weekday night: haven't seen an exotic for almost a month. If the game thinks you're not engaged, it most likely has a system to try to re-engage you with something shiny. Don't believe me? Try not logging on for a week. Then log on, do public events, forges, anything with a decent exotic chance, and tell me what drops for you in the first hour. Didn't believe it, then I saw it first hand.

I can confirm that the "dont play for a while then come back and get everything" RNG works I had 0 Forsaken exotics for my Hunter, 1 for my Warlock and and 2 for my Titan and 0 Forsaken weapons after playing almost everyday for 4 months. I quit for a while then came back a couple weeks after the last DLC dropped. After that it starter raining new exotics: Le Monarque (1st try) Sixth Coyote Gwisin Vest Oathkeepers Cerberus +1 Wavesplitter Shards of Galanor Jötunn (1st try) This is all in the past month or so. I say quit and come back later. Not really missing out on anything at the moment.

I still need 1K. Bungie needs to seriously change how drops are handled in this game. That's one of the reasons people are moving on to other games. They're sick of constantly playing the same content, only to not get the one thing that they want.

Guess I'll find another game to play and come back in a few weeks, as suggested by others who were having the same problem. I've posted a lot about it but it's fallen on deaf ears. Maybe they'll hear me when they don't get anymore of my support or money.
