Edit: 2/16/19 This post didn’t age well :( RIP Trials
Great video discussing both sides of this: https://youtu.be/v3VQHWbjwI4
Edit: Most people replying non criticism negative things have 1 or more 650 characters, why are you still playing if you think this game is so bad?
97 RespuestasGame is garbage and the Activision thing could mean that there WILL NOT be a D3.... hope Bungie collapses... best thing that could ever happen for sure!
-
1 RespuestaThe amount of terribly misinformed people defending Activision is too damn high.
-
16 RespuestasWe shall see. Don’t get excited until we’ve seen the next content update or better yet the next franchise offering. ATVI parting ways with Bungie is a RED FLAG dumb dumb. You don’t sever the relationship with 1 of your 4 $1Billion dollar franchises unless you think that this franchise is done. It’s 100% on Bungie to show the entire gaming industry that they have both the talent and creativity to succeed. For those that have no clue what Bungie lacks is Joe Staten and Marty O’Donnell. The brains behind the creation of the Destiny franchise. Hey, I’m an 8yr BNet so don’t think I’m a hater. I’m a realist. Do you all really think Luke Smith and Jon Wisniewski can launder the jock straps of those that have long since departed Bungie? Give your heads a serious shake. There $100 million in Chinese money and as a result a new title coming in the future. That’s reality. The Bungie that made Halo is long gone.
-
If any other game that is currently with Activision split with them, everyone would cheer. The destiny community is the only one who endorsed Activision, defends them and despises the company who makes the game they still dump hours into
-
21 RespuestasLOL - now they have no financial backing for their shitty game. If you think Activision was responsible for the lack of content, the zero story telling, the repetitive and non-rewarding grind, piss poor end-game - you’re sadly mistaken. Micro transactions, that’s activisions contribution. Think Bungie forking their own bill will make it any better? Doubtful. I’d go out to the back yard, dig a hole and bury this franchise.
-
16 RespuestasNow we will finally know if it’s Activision or Bungie making the stupid decisions for this game.
-
2 RespuestasAll the problems in D2 are Bungie’s doing. All that has happened is Activision told Bungie “you’re fired”. Bungie will need a new publisher, maybe they’ll sign with EA.
-
55 RespuestasJust to repeat for the millionth time. All Activision contributed was a sales mandate. Literally none of the decisions about this game were made by activision. If anything they had a moderating effect on Destiny and Bungle in that no matter how bad a game they made, it still had to turn a profit, which means they had to ignore a lot of even more hostile impulses that would have made this game even less viable just to keep money coming in. Realistically, this means Destiny is probably about to become a much worse game with a much smaller playerbase. Activision may be the worst thing that happened to gaming, but Bungle's incompetence and bad design decisions come purely from their own staff. The reason activision let them go is because they're embarrassed to be affilated with Bungie at this point and who can blame them?
-
9 RespuestasActivision was not the reason that content for this game could not be created in a timely manner. Activision did not start Eververse, BUNGIE did as part of a renegotiation that BUNGIE desired and Activision agreed upon. LOL to the people that think Eververse is going to disappear. Without more micro-transactions, how else will Bungie fund this franchise? D3? Just waiting for the inevitable announcement that D3 will be pushed back because Bungie has to actually provide a quality release now. Activision may be evil, but Bungie was already driving this ship and now they will have no one to blame but themselves.
-
11 RespuestasI DUNNO, GOT A FUNNY FEELING ITS THE OTHER WAY ROUND. ACTIVISION ARE FREE FROM THE FINANCIAL BURDEN THAT IS BUNGIE.
-
7 RespuestasLol at all the people that actually think this will make a difference wake up people

2 RespuestasEditado por Kind of Mind: 1/13/2019 6:01:51 AMMeanwhile, bungie continues the same old notorious Imbalancing Nerfing rampage and correlative rotting path! The stupid activision thing is all smoke to veil the fact that this stupid game sucks Separation from Activision will accomplish nothing but lessening staff for the development of the game. New worse ideas will come, new nerfs will be thought of, and new drastic changes for the worse will ensue The history of this franchise and company predicts the future of destiny; not your assumptions or desires Keep the logic simple, dont overthink things with this pathetic company and game..If you are part of the few that have remianed since D1 like me, then you stand as the biggest laughing joke and have failed yourself. The smarter people have moved on to better things. You still have a chance to engage your intelligence!

4 RespuestasEditado por albinomachina: 1/11/2019 8:21:59 PMToo little, too late. I was a loyal Bungie customer for almost 20 years, and there is absolutely nothing Bungie can say or do to convince me to give them one more penny of my money. Edit - I've grown so dissatisfied with Bungie I'm actually looking forward to a EA/Bioware game.
-
26 RespuestasPlease don't get your hopes up. Bungie did the whole niobe labs fiasco, Bungie made D2 vanilla dogshit. All Activision did was add micro transactions.
-
Editado por A RANDOM GENT: 1/14/2019 7:53:38 AMWhat will happen over next 12 months. Lack of content drops outside the annual pass, any content that does drop will be reskins or repeated events with no changes. Increase in micro transactions to pay for their increased operational costs, the annual pass has already been sold to everyone that would buy it, they need income quick and this is the best way. **This game is drowning fast and I don’t think Bungie have the ability to save it.
-
This game needs deeper customization/build freedom badly
-
2 RespuestasMaybe there's hope after all? Maybe retcon this whole ass pile and make the story to where D2 was just a bad fevered dream by Cayde from eating bad ramen and they just start pumping out good material back on D1 or a damn clone of D1 somehow. GTF away from D2 as quick as possible and maybe some of the mass droves who finally left (like me after Warmind) will come back. I'm at least open to the idea as is some of my clan.
-
You have to be truly naive to think bungie didn’t have any choice of what went into their game. I doubt much will be different, you guys act like bungie was caged in a basement being forced to make this shit against their will.
-
Editado por Solarvoidlock: 1/13/2019 8:01:47 PMAhahahaha wow I never expected this day to come. Wonder if the end of the Destiny franchise or even Bungie is near.
-
16 RespuestasAny corporate guy can see this for what it is ... Bungie has been cut. They WILL struggle and in my opinion this signals the end of Destiny.
-
Activision wanted out just as bad if not more
-
Still bungie need a distributer for the game alone it will be very hard
-
It’s the wrong way around. Activision is now free. Spoiler
Bungie was the darkness this whole time!
9 RespuestasEditado por GrifterDeMier01: 1/11/2019 7:14:53 AMActivision was just the piggie bank. That's all they were. Now that Bungie does not have this huge massive cash pool any more things are just going to keep going down hill. I've already seen it with the lag. Bungie has already started cutting back on their servers. Lag over the last month has gotten 2-3 time worse. Plus look at black armory, they added a few new weapons to the game that were advertised several months ago, guns that have existed since D1. BA is just content that was cut from the original game. A junky cash grab add on. They are going to have to really tighten their budget now and everything about this game will just keep degrading. Next there will be a bunch of lay offs at Bungie then they won't have enough staff to properly maintain the game. Just watch. People who think this will make the game better have no idea.
