I think both sides are pretty silly looking here: PvP players can’t make easy or valid arguments that they can reach for and PvE players don’t realize that PvP players aren’t the developers, Bungie are. I’ll try to speak both sides here, but I think the OP has summed up the PvE-side quite well, so I’ll focus on my PvP fanboy side a bit more. PvP players did not directly cause everything that has happened they simply served as a call to action for Bungie. And Bungie is pretty clearly bad at buffing, nerfing, tuning, etc. Bungie has the ability to make better decisions than what they have made and we need to make them accountable for that instead of just pinning the blame on each other. We have all worked to make a better Destiny experience for everyone. As to why PvP players are suddenly not at each other’s throats (this started as a response to a comment but I felt like this should probably be stand alone now), it is because when you care about something like Destiny’s Crucible, you care enough to share your ideas on how to make it the best it possibly can be. Although very few of these ideas are objectively right, they all stem from a passion. A passion that is being directly challenged by this post. They are reminding Bungie and the OP that a significant portion (I didn’t say some of the ridiculous statistics I’ve seen here yay :)) of players like, liked, or are interested in seeing a better Crucible. Sure PvE players may perceive it as “insignificant” because there are more players playing PvE at most times but the amount they’d lose from losing their PvP playerbase is very tangible and would be unlike Bungievision to sacrifice potential money to take a risk like reimagining their vision of the game. And honestly, though not agreeing wholly on simply not doing something because of money, in this case I think it is an important decision to try to cater to an audience they know they have. I love all facets of Destiny and if any one of them were lost or delegated to permanent obscurity, I would quickly lose interest. Our community needs to realize that we are not all asking for the same thing and that Bungie should some how compensate for this. Separation of PvE and PvP (and Gambit!) balance could allow all players to give constructive criticism without potentially being shut down simply by the premise of “Oh it nerfs a good gun in another place,” or the opposite; it buffs an already good gun somewhere else. I don’t expect it in this game, but if Destiny 3 continues to try to have such a diversity of gamemodes, they should strive to be more than just a “jack of all trades, master of none.” So instead of rejecting all of each other’s ideas because we think they’ll harm our own personal experience, let’s ask Bungie to allow us to present our ideas without this risk. It truly undermines ALL facets of the game and ALL of our collective feedback. Let’s make Destiny a great experience for everyone!
Edit: Grammar, because I’m a freak for perfect grammar. Will probably edit for grammar again so don’t be surprised. 😂

Valid point. As somebody who considers himself a casual gamer (In that I dont stick to one or two games) I can honestly say I have never played a game that has been mishandled as bad as Bungie has done this one. Something about the PVP in D2 just feels off to me. Now I fully admit that I am ( what some might say) on the "older" side for video gamers so my reaction time isn't what it used to be but I play multiple other PVP games and don't have the issues that I do with D2. To be honest I have stopped playing Crucible for the sheer fact of so many try hards freaking the hell out because I need to "get good". In all the other PvP games I play I typically finish in the top 25% at the end of a match so I dont know what the issue is with D2. Also crucible has been messed with so much by Bungie I just dont have the time to relearn and adjust after each time they change something. I stick to PvE side of the game now though I have to admit I enjoy Gambit as well.

Good point. TLDR: Let’s stop pinning Bungie’s balancing issues on each other and start asking for solutions to their balancing issues (such as making PvE and PvP balance separate in some fashion). We can’t get any feedback across if “Nerfs are bad” or “that’s already OP in PvP” are viable arguments against it.
