Did bungie lie about Exotic drop rates?
Remember right before black armory came out, bungie put out a patch that was suppose to increase exotic drops while decreasing the duplicate drop. I feel like that was only for those 2 weeks. Cause ever since black armory came out, I've barely seen any exotic drops. And the ones I have gotten, have been duplicates. I have a fairly large clan and mostly everyone is having the same problem. I swear, if trinity ghoul doesn't drop for me soon, I'm quitting destiny :(
I play every week too, get all my mile stones done. Feels like I'm working my butt off for nothing. And there are way better games out there that $crew you over constantly.

2 RespuestasThere may have been something that was fixed that reverted back due to an update or maintenance but that’s not lying. I can’t get One Eyed Mask and after grinding for it almost 4 months every day it has made my anxiety and depression much worse. Crazy to think this game used to get me through rough times. 😞

I felt the same until last week. Got trinitys ghoul and one eyed mask in one day! Both in the crucible.

I’m not convinced they haven’t. Since they “fixed” it I’ve gotten less exotics all together and when I do get them they’re duplicates I’ve gotten All foresaken exotic armor on my titan pre exotic patch. No new foresaken exotics on my hunter I need 2 more exotics for my warlock All my exotics except for 2 weapons, came pre patch. I’ve got all the weapons except for the three you get from raids

I’m not sure tbh. On one hand, I just need 1 exotic for each of my classes. On the other hand, I’ve spent the last 2 months hunting for that last piece in my hunter and I keep getting duplicates.

Yeah, maybe something changed, my first 2 PE drops today were Black Talon and Twin Tail Fox , both new for me.

It’s a mixed bag for me. Whenever I get a dupe, the next drop will be a new gun/armor. Idk but that’s the pattern I’m seeing with my progress

4 RespuestasFor the last two weeks straight (apart from this week) I played exclusively on my Hunter (I main a Titan) trying to get Shards to drop... Two weeks of everything there is to do apart from raiding and not a single new exotic... Not one. Guess I fall into the shit RNG group. As a result, I'm catching up on a lot of Netflix... So... Thanks Bungo?

They honestly come more from milestones than anything else. I like back during Osiris where I got the majority of exotics from legendaries, but oh well

I'm sure they didn't lie they thought it was going to work but like most updates they don't test them in a game environment. As most companies do test their content example when Ubisoft was going to release Assassin Creed Origins curse of the Pharaoh expansion they ran a test on the expansion and they found errors they fix these issues and they postpone the expansion. However Bungie doesn't do this they don't test their content or updates they just release them that's the reason every time we get an update it breaks the game even further.

When you chance at getting a new exotic are absolute dog crap, and you buff that dog crap by 0.00001% then it’s still dog crap!

In the two weeks that followed, I got [i]all[/i] the remaining items for those two characters. Five drops happened on a single day; only one was a duplicate of something I already had. So to me? It looks like they did something to fix it. But I could have just been insanely lucky.

I have good weeks, bad weeks, and freaking weird weeks with exotic drops. This week alone(since reset) I have received trinity ghoul, wavesplitter(twice), telesto, Antaeus wards, ursa furiosa and wardcliff cool 3 times. Week before that.. nothing. I feel like bungie gets us happy one moment and then kills it the next day

They didn't buff drop rates at all. They did, however, change the frequency that the exotic you just got is a new exotic or a duplicate.

2 RespuestasI don’t think they lied. I think they “decreased the chance for duplicates” at such a low level that it doesn’t disrupt the scam of RNG exotics to artificially inflate playtime. It’s technically if they changed it by 1.5% for example but functionally it will behave almost exactly the same.

Sometimes I get quite a bit in one week, and sometimes I get none. I've gotten 2 random world drops this week and 1 from Eva.

I've gotten more new exotics out of bounties and milestones than actual drops Got Two-tailed from the dreaming city yesterday. #4 in new things I think.

Yea they really destroying the game with exotic drops. Majority of the game is enjoy content with new exotics. Using the same Ole shit gets tiring. D1 was similar but it had more exotics to chose from. But it is what it is. They can do what ever stupid shit they want to. Got major games coming out early next year. This game will not be on my popular play list.

I got Cerberus+1 and Sixth Coyote within 24 hours of each other, bringing my total up to 4 random drop Forsaken exotics

I don't remember them saying anything about increasing the drop rates of exotics just the duplicate chances and weighted them to armor drops if they are duplicates because of the random rolls on them.
