This would make collecting armor mean something... or at least more than it does now.
Now there are only 3 types that have thousands of different random roll combos that usually don't work together (machine gun scavenger with linear rifle aiming anyone.... FFS!).
Starting to get bored with all this useless junk!

The Division at least got this right with the perks on the Classified gear sets.

4 RespuestasBecause they really want anthem to crush their franchise lol. 😎. Destiny days are numbered.....can you feel the heat yet????
-
Because bungie cant do something that elaborated
-
5 RespuestasTechnically the transcendent blessing mode can do up to 25% more damage in dreaming city
-
Mismatching random loot armor and finding out your own fashion > homogenized best in slot armor sets
-
5 RespuestasYes, let's dictate to people what armor they should use and make raid sets have the strongest bonuses. What could possibly go wrong. /facepalm
-
Cause it's not the division that game failed so -blam!- that On a serious note that would help reasons to collect armor and keep certain pieces. But cause a problem of I can't look the way I want
-
3 RespuestasYet another thing present in the Division for quite a while now. It's amazing that this is still missing in D1, let alone D2. For the uninitiated, these sets gives you a huge advantage with certain skills. Imagine getting a % extra damage for every single bullet hit from a fast firing auto rifle, and also a damage reduction if you don't miss. Another set gives you a 50 percent chance to get all your life back when reaching low health, and then goes into cooldown. These might have changed, but back then it gave the player that extra push they needed for the really difficult missions (legendary). That might be why Bungie let this one slip, since everything here is "just slightly more" or "just a little bit more".

3 RespuestasBungie is stuck between shooter-gamer sensibilities (customization)....and RPG gamer sensibilities (power-progression). While armor set bonuses, and wearing that set to get those bonuses is a familiar and comfortable mechanic....shooter gamers balk at this, because they see this as blocking them from looking the way they want because they are "forced" to wear that armor. Which is why Bungie is leaning into gear mods. This will allow you to modify your armor to create your own "set bonuses". While allowing shooter gamers to customize their look the way they want....without having to pay a power penalty.

The division had this. Didn’t like it at all, some games just go into to much customization detail and I’d say a lot of players get lost in it. The division had all of this, some say it wasn’t enough, I say it was to in-depth and was a put off for players that just wanted to play the game. A certain level is fine but sometimes it’s just over the top.

2 Respuestas*shudders* Ugh, I can just see the posts if this became a thing. "Why should I be put at a disadvantage for wearing what I want to wear!?" etc...
-
1 RespuestaYeah set bonuses need to happen, as does transmog and the ability to change what our guardians look like, but they seem to be refusing to all of these requests.
-
I think thry chose to go with Mods, but the freakin mods are so rare that it doesnt feel rewarding to get 1 Fallen mod after 12 raid clears....
-
I hope they coming in the next big DLC. They work well on the Leviathan actually. I hope that’s a thing for either one of the annual pass updates or in the next comet.
-
Because it would ruin the already non existent balance, of PvP. If bungie was smart they'd remove PvP entirely, and focus on making a better game.

That way people get a bonus but can still wear whatever. This playerbase isn't smart enough to think about it either. You can just look at the posts here demonstrating that. That said their "collection" feature doesn't let you collect everything anyway. So people will wind up having an advantage one way or another. People justifiably will not like this.

3 RespuestasIt’s too hard to make content...

Armor set bonuses are the shite! I loved it in Witcher 3. I think it was in God of War (2018) also. I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and was ec- f-ing- static when I discovered the game had it too. W3 did it the best though where you got bonuses for 3 pieces and/ or all 5/6 in the set.

8 RespuestasEditado por ramthesocket: 12/28/2018 9:30:24 PMWhat amazes me the most is how much opportunity this game had to become great with ideas like these, and yet it still manages to be an overall letdown. Edit: a good example (opinion of mine) of gear sets can be found in ESO, where you get bonuses depending on how much of the gear set you are wearing. I think the Division does it too but I’m not too sure.

Editado por Corrick II: 12/29/2018 1:36:09 AMBecause we’d only wear one set of armor forever, obviously. Or at least that’s what Bungie thinks, so they obsessively control the armor and perks we get every season so they can make sure we only play their way. Best way to develop a game ever.
-
Have special sets like Diablo does. Maybe they are red engrams? Maybe three pieces gives you one buff or power and 5 gives you an extra perk or more powerful version?
-
Because that would be a cool feature.
-
You’d have to make those bonuses more worthwhile than Exotic Armor for it to see any real use
-
I can see it for unique armors like the tess or event ones but not ALL maybe dreaming city armor only for the world armors but just event, raid and tess ones should be fine.
