Not angry at all, I just feel like the thread was going great until we got 20 of these hey but you just want things easy kind of post. my bad on that.
For your second point that wouldn't make much of a difference now wouldn't it? many things were easier in D1, so comparing them is kind of pointless right now.
It's not about it being easier, it was a better system friendly to all players. as far as this latest debacle, people who own the content wanted to be able to play it day one. we've been playing/grinding the same activities since last September, so why does Bungie want to make us going through all of this stuff again....well the content is thin and that's about it. we long time players already know what's going on.

Fair point about the launch of black armory. There should have been a new way to grind to a power level fit for the forge (though I think the [i]level[/i] of outrage is unwarranted). But I think the problem people have with the current system isn’t that it it’s not friendly to all players, more so that it takes too long to level up. You don’t have to be a hard core player to play 3 strikes, 5 crucible matches etc. people just want to level up faster. To which I would say what I said in my OP.
