Now this is coming from a D1 veteran. Playing Destiny has been my hobby for a few years.
So it’s sad for me to say this but playing D2 has become a chore. It wasn’t always that way.
In D1 I started playing on PS4 and after a year I also started playing on Xbox after Rise of Iron.
When I started on Xbox I played through everything on one character then on the other two characters I leveled them up to 400 just playing the crucible. I could play what I wanted and still be leveling up.
The milestones in D2 are a bad idea. I have to play 3 Gambit matches. I have to play three strikes. I have to play 5 crucible matches. I have to play the night fall. I have to do all the dreaming city stuff.
See where I’m going. I have to do those things or I won’t level up. Leveling up is important because you need to be a high enough level to play the raid.
What Black Armory did was expose this bad design. It was a very bad decision to block access to a dlc people paid for behind a level requirement to start.
This is why the community is angry. Me included. We have to play old content for a couple of weeks to start this.
Now I have to go do all those milestones to get high enough to play this dlc. That takes time. And I can’t spend that time leveling up by playing nothing but crucible or strikes. I got to do those milestones. This game has now become a chore instead of something fun. I already have a job.
I was also looking forward to new crucible maps and new strikes but none of that in this dlc.
Hey maybe I’ll get some new armor or weapons from the vendors. Nope. Only thing to do is chase some weapons and grind some more after grinding for three months to climb 220 points.
If this is the future of Destiny then this has got me considering not playing Destiny anymore. That is the first time I ever thought that.
Just thought I’d share this feedback with Bungie so they can understand why people are angry with this game and what they might consider changing in the future.

16 RespuestasYeah after playing 10 minutes of the DLC and couldn’t beat the Forge I just stopped. I’m not about to grind another 6 weeks of the same stuff just to get to 650. I remember Destiny 1, get to light level 30 with VoG, then Crota was to 32 (I think if I remember). That was grinding new material to get higher. Destiny 2 has just been boring, I work and like to spend time with my wife and dog so at times I grind all the milestones in 1 day and wait till the next reset. I’m not going to play everyday how Bungie makes the game. Literally the only way you can get good stuff or ever have fun is play everyday. I’m not here to play everyday just to grind the same material. Now I did do some milestones for this week but they dropped at 601 and Prime Engrams are 605. Keep getting the same items too doesn’t help. How do streamers even get to 640 in one week? I understand having multiple characters but how? I don’t care if someone is higher than me but I want to know how so I can do it. I have played Destiny since the Alpha, that’s a huge deal for me, I have loved this game for so long but it’s slowly just fading for me. Bungie did great for Halo, right? Why can’t you be as great again? New workers are a factor but still. If I said anything that made no sense just let me know, but I feel like at least some people can agree.
