This is the Worst DLC launch yet....
The horde mode is the only thing new (other than the raid which isn’t out yet) and you can’t even complete it, and move to the next quest step, until you’re 615? So this first week we are just doing the same stuff we have been doing for months already! Theres nothing new!! Can’t even get anything from the new vendor.
update: They made it easier. Just took a while and lots of tries with terrible random teammates. But finally completed it at 607. I’m now 615 with two Hammerheads and the auto rifle. Now doing the quest where you have to do patrols, adventures, strikes, etc, with Forge weapon equipped for powerful engram. It’s actually not as bad once you finally beat the forge the first time. It also really helps having good teammates who know what they’re doing.
Update: now 622 and at the second forge. I like it a lot better than I did the first day.

111 RespuestasWe doing this again? 🙄 So people are still surprised we need to level up for content now? We’ve had this for a while with Escalation protocol, Spire of Stars and Last Wish. God like players will power through the content under levelled, and people like me will just plod along and eventually getting it done. I personally think this a good way to do it. I much prefer a steady progression, instead of powering through content in a week. If people are that precious about a purchase, maybe wait and see what is actually in the dlc. You would of only had to wait a day 😂

Here’s the problem I have. They advertised the annual pass as a HARDCORE ENDGAME CONTENT pass. If you haven’t even reached the endgame why on earth would you buy the annual pass. They told us it was endgame, an add on to the content we already have. As far as I know they never advertised it as an EXPANSION. This is what black armory was going to be and is, whether you like it or not.

3 RespuestasAs a long time player, I don't have much of a problem with the new content. I do have a serious problem with the still screwed up exotic drop rate and duplicate drops for this game. Don't give me three of the same exotic I have equipped right after each other. But as for the content? It's fine. Just take your time and get it done at your own pace. Why rush? Then you will just be complaining about not having enough to do.

2 RespuestasPersonally, I like a challenge. What's fun about running through content the first week and finishing everything? I spent a lot of time in the Black Armory last night, just looking around in corners to make sure there wasn't a surprise or two hiding. I'd rather have things to discover and work towards than just get it handed to me in the first week. Look how quickly the "Ghaul" storyline got burned. It was really cool for a minute, then most people went on to another game. I paid for this expansion, and I like the way it's rolling out slowly.

Releases such as this one certainly throw a different light on DLC such as Penumbra. Because they ultimately give the impression that Bungie is not making a secret out of what is to come, they simply do not know themselves yet. Games such as Destiny have their phases. Destiny 2 is in the phase where they chase the affirmation of live streamers at the expense of everybody else. I have seen this happen in other games, it is nothing new, it hardly ever works. Streamers want to be occupied the entire day with busy work they can quickly dive in and out of to cater to chat at the same time. The masses want to have fun first and less aggravating time-gated grinds, else threads such as this one would have fewer upvotes. At the end of the day, people will not ask themselves wether they are tough enough to stomach a certain grind. They will ask, if something else is more fun and if it is, then they will play that. And if something else costs money, then so be it.

Someone didn't read the description of the pass content: not full DLCs, but added end-game activities and pursuits for players to chase. Increasing the light level means that you have to level up to do them, and won't be having them all done on week 1, to complain that the raid and exotic quest are timegated, and there's nothing else to do. It's a way for you to get new gear, advance your charater, have new goals, and in general, push you to advance your game play in different directions. The alternative is the content lull we ended up with after the first couple of months of TTK, until RoI hit. Want new activities and content? We're going to have to pay for them, and we're going to have to get stronger to do them all. Activision was -never- going to allow more than the normal live team events (Dawning, etc.) without it being funded somehow. And adding all the content right away and having everyone be at the light level to complete it day 1 is a terrible move too. Just...play the game, man. Or don't, I doubt anyone really cares that much.

I started by asking about the inherent tension between creating an expansion full of secret stuff, and trying to persuade people to part with money for the annual pass. I began by asking whether he can even write exactly what's in the expansion on a piece of paper and give it to me. "No, we can’t—and I think we are fine with the annual pass being a thing that delivers on its promise over time," said Deej” [b][i]Taken from pc gamer interview.[/i][/b] Translation. We can’t be bothered to finish content anymore but you can still pay up front for it.

This was a kick in the nuts, once again. I was so excited and now I'm just thinking "fvck this shit, doing the same grind I've been doing for months". That's not new content Bungie and you clearly missed the target with this release IMO.

I get forge is supposed to be new end game mode, but wtf bungo!? Why is literally the 1st thing we do, halfway up the new power cap??? Definitely not motivating. Feeling like Osiris again...💀

2 Respuestas550ish player here. What a joke. Lead me up to the first forge thinking I have any bit of content to progress through. As it stands, wasted 40$. Could have at least let us know a little more about it so we could have waited to buy the season pass. And I thought, TDB and CoO was bad. Sheesh.

This appears (so far) to be exactly what they advertised it would be. It’s a supplement to Foresaken. Not a full new expansion. I’d 100% rather be playing my weekly milestones than playing through stupid and slow missions that are hella easy and time consuming only to end up at the same point. I mean I got to a 603 almost just doing the standard weekly things plus still need to do all my dreaming city stuff. Plus I expect another surprise dungeon to pop up in a few weeks as well.

2 RespuestasThere's new stuff to do. The quest to unlock the forge takes a while by itself, and there's the bosses in the EDZ and Nessus you can farm, and they drop new weapons and stuff. Seriously, we have /three months/ of this season of content, if it takes a few days to get going I don't see the big deal. It's still all going to be there.

Its either this or we run out of stuff to do on the first week. Even then you put way too much faith in Bungie. At this point the most I expect from this 700 employee indie company is sandbox update every 8 months maybe?

For the first couple weeks we're under level for the little new content we have? So i have to grind the same old forsaken content for S5? Ugh. But the streamers completed it so yay, as long as they are happy its okay.
