If you’re after pve, go for solar bottom skill tree, or middle one if you have phoenix protocol armor, you can use top void tree too with skull of ahamkara or contraverse holds, for pvp the best is void middle tree or solar bottom tree, arc middle tree can be awesome for pvp too if played correctly, the exotic for pvp is whatever it suits your playstyle better, i personally use karnstein or ophidian aspects a lot, transversive steps sometimes.

So as far as Solo PVE goes it's between Void/Solar depending on the sort of activity I'm doing? Also is there any reasoning behind these specific choices? & I have no exotics as of yet.

Solar bottom tree because of the 2 self heals (rift and holding O on air) and the super from solar bottom tree can be extended a LOT if you keep getting kills with the super, it doesnt require any exotic to work, and if you dont have any other exotics to support, try bottom void tree instead of top void tree, bottom void tree grenade can be consumed (charge grenade to consume) to heal full health, or kill something with the melee skill to heal full health too, after consuming grenade or kill with melee to heal, a buff will activate too and EVERY kill, may that be with guns, melee, grenade, super, they ALL will heal you full health back while the buff is active, while you’re getting kills with this buff, it will increase its duration too, AND recharge your grenade back a lot with every kill, no exotics required to work too
