I've given feedback to the team that players do not like Titles having requirements dictated by RNG. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I am glad you dismantled my rambling. Could also be that English is not my first language. But it’s all opinions in the end. I’m glad a few people can’t make Bungie change their vision. Everybody has their own opinions. If people don’t like to play a RPG game then I am not sure why they are playing Destiny 2. Have a great weekend Guardian!

Elitism like this is also what's killing the games Sure there's gonna be RNG in mmo video games...always has been, doesn't mean it's right. The problem with Destiny is that it doesn't reward skill. (With a few exceptions of course, Wish Ender for example) But you can run a hard activity over and over and over. Then run one time with some one who's never done it before...they get the drop and you still don't. RNG =/= skill RNG =/= dedication RNG is lazy and turns players away.

I warnt under the impression its elitism. If it doesn't drop for me, then it can drop for another person. How many times you think I ran Escalation Protocol until I got all items, but for me it didn't meant I had no fun with that particular Horde Mode. If it's not fun anymore it's not fun. Grind is grind, but it's like being at the Casino, you wait for your numbers, or for your drops in Destiny. I get you want to earn the seal, but thats why there are two parts, one which involves skill and one part which involves the drop. What do you think the next thing is where people start to complain? Why making Lunas Howl so tough to obtain? RNG is not very lazy if you play a shooter with RPG elements. If people just got wind of what Destiny is, then I wonder why people still playing it. If you don't like RNG, then Destins is maybe not for you. A hard activity? Isn't there the fun and the skill? And I wouldn't see Gambit as a hard activity.

You really aren't getting it. Things like Luna's Howl are fine...you know how and when you'll obtain it. Having RNG be the main factor for most upper tier rewards is extremely lazy game design which does not reward time played. Take EP for example...or grinding out the Braytech Osprey for Wayfarer. It's you doing the same mindless activities over and over. When you finally get the drop you want, it's not a great satisfaction...more of a "thank god I'm finally free from this" and you never want to see that activity again. Earning things like Wish Ender, Luna's Howl, etc is more accomplished because it actual felt like your time was valued. RNG =/= earning something RNG should not be a part of getting titles. Right now titles, Wayfarer especially don't show dedication...they show luck.

I am not sure if that’s a subjective opinion or an objective opinion. Some people grind and are happy if they get their drop and feel satisfied. Even after an EP drop people stay often in the group and just do it a bunch of times. I’m glad it’s just an opinion of both of us, and we both don’t have to decide or have no weight in the decision making. I think you gotta grow with the task and that’s it. If you can’t live with the grind then maybe Destiny is not the game for some people. If that’s a lazy game design ... hard to tell. Some people play Final Fantasy and it’s part of the game. Some people just go with it and don’t even bother one thought 💭 if that’s a poor game swish choice. Destiny was always like this and there will be always a few haters. Changing the seal, with RNG or not will change what the Seal was actually is. Just because some people had not luck and feel not the grind. Giving up on the grind makes a lazy Guardian. Only my opinion. RNG is part of the core game and if you say guaranteed here and there like if we say ok Nightfall Exklusive Weapon after 200k guaranteed people will always find a way to obtain it fast. Same goes with a seal then. And people who play more will always have an advantage. They only try to balance it for people with a rough job and not much time and for people with quite a few time. Only opinions. We both share opinions. I respect yours tough and I’m glad you engage in the discussion. I feel we need to find a middle ground, this community is split as it is. Have a great weekend Guardian!

Only that the Breytech won’t drop in EP.

Lol, Bungie respecting players. That Bungie is long dead. This shell of that former company just respects whatever pads the play time.
-
The title issue had been amplified in Gambit because the meatball boss has a very low spawn rate to start with ... then Bungie had a great idea to add the cosmetic drops required for the title to this very low spawn rated boss ...but with the last patch they made the same cosmetic items even rarer from dropping and making the RNG worse.. Cosmetic items required for this Dregden title need to be achievable by all especially if they have already acquired items like malfeasence and completed the other skill based requirements.

I've been chasing that Starlight Shell for weeks now! I've had the bones and eggs done for weeks, but that shell just won't drop! RNG is so painful sometimes!! 😭😭😭

Editado por Burnt-Lead: 11/22/2018 7:43:12 PMCatering for whiny casuals as usual....just like the ace of spades quest and the Malfescance quest.
-
typical tool...
-
Aha, here's one of the whiney casuals ^^^
-
"Whiny casuals" yet looking at your game history I can see that I probably put more time into gambit in one day than you do destiny 2 in a whole week.
-
This post is less about catering to thouse people and more about the people who have dumped 200 hours after 1 single item for the game to shaft them. Preferably tie the cosmetics to triumphs. Want the ship solo the shattered throne. Want the ghosts complete all acendent time trials, want the sparrow get a 3 stack and slaughter the giant boss ogre (and you know, have the game actually track it)

But it's true???

Big bad b8

Um, the Ace of Spades is the opposite. No RNG involved, you just had to complete tasks. I don't mind completing tough tasks, I just hate certain elements being based on luck.
-
Um, I know. Bungle made the tasks easier as people couldn't cope with a challenge.
