it still takes too little time to cap the point on offense which is made even worse with the change to spawn timers for defense.
offensive team ALWAYS gets heavy because of spawn locations. and there is still bizzare stalemates every time on center which have to be resolved based on time and who caps the most.
also the gametype is heavily weighted towards titans with their barriers+sentinel shield making for super easy caps.
Edit: also I have now played around 8 games today and all but 1 are breakthrough fml.

Better than countdown or survival, at least I get a decent amount of kills towards Luna's Howl in it. I am of the opinion playlists need to not be a thing and never should of been though

1 RespuestaIt really feels like they are trying to tune this into the new trials mode...it’s a shame really. They had arguably the most appealing game mode in the history of destiny with the trials of Osiris and now they pretend like it never existed.

I played a game of breakthrough on equinox and the enemy team killed us in our spawn and we got telesto'd everytime we went to leave our spawn... Can't take point cause titans shoulder charge melee you or telesto is spawned in such a small area. The maps create crazy choke points and the spawn timers for defenders give them zero chance to actually defend without getting destroyed by supers or heavy that the capture team always gets. Just a trash game mode.

It’s just a shit game mode. Just for god sake make it its own node and stop shoehorning it into competitive.

I tried to play one game of breakthrough in its own playlist, lousy teammates would trickle one by one in 3v1/4v1 and in scenarios where I had a teammate they would be directly behind me instead of to the side, always blocking my movement if I needed to peek and wouldn't shoot when they have a visual. After losing the center point and dying a couple times after I could see the same teammates in the exact position when I came out. I just quit. Even with ok teammates the mode sucks, with lousy teammates I just never want to see it again.

I played a couple matches. It seems to me it's easier just to let the other team take that center point and then defend. Reminds me of Salvage. It's just absolutely absurd that we can't choose the game type. Blows my mind.

It's better then control. But as a whole heavy needs to be removed that crap spawns like every 30 seconds it feels like. It's almost like there is more heavy in comp then quick play.

Heavy is the only issue, but it is an issue in all the playlists and needs dialed back across the board.

1 RespuestaThe cap time is not the problem, if it took longer no one would be able to get it without being wiped. Power ammo is the big problem. How can one team survive when the other have power ammo advantage lol. And about titan bubble... can be used only once. You can use well of radiance. Blade Barrage shut down Bubble.
