Just to start off, I have not completed the raid yet. However, my question is why do people care? If the whole point is to kill the boss, what does it matter how you do it? Maybe some of you players should get off your altar because you did it the "correct" way.

2 RespuestasI'm down to complete it anyway possible. I don't care about doing their content the right way, they don't respect our time so i say glitch, cheese, cheat, do anything.
-
5 RespuestasImo I do a raid because I want more difficult content with engaging mechanics. Cheesing Riven basically removes that from the encounter and since riven is 1 of the 2 interesting encounters in the new raid I especially don’t want to skip it. Once you’re 600 the cheese is stupid easy so there’s no maximizing damage or really any specific technique. That said I don’t really care how you do it or anyone but... I want it patched because I use lfg to raid and finding a team doing it normally is pretty rare
-
1 RespuestaI just started doing last wish last week. Every team I get into wants to cluster strat because they’re over that 1 guy screwing up so they just cluster it.
-
Because nobody likes them
-
5 RespuestasGenerally it's just a stubborn ass hole. I find it hilarious that someone thinks that this fight somehow proves your skill or lack thereof. This is literally the easiest raid that ever released besides crota.
-
28 RespuestasElitism. Simple as that
-
44 RespuestasIt’s an insult to the development team to take advantage of a mistake they made. They didn’t mean for the encounter to be done like this. The raid is supposed to be the pinnacle of PvE content. If you don’t take the time to learn then you don’t deserve the loot.
-
1 RespuestaBecause its an exploit. Every time the player base finds and uses an exploit it forces Bunjie to spend time recoding and patching the problem slowing down the other issues that need to be fixed
-
30 RespuestasMaybe you should get on the alter and do it the correct way.
-
3 RespuestasIt's not a cheese, it's just outdamaging her. I prefer it because LFG can't comprehend the entirety of the mechanics, but I will gladly run it normally if everyone can. people need to stop complaining, it's the same thing as D1Y1. atheon gets knocked off, people who ran normally try to complain about it. if it works for your team, do it. if not, do the easier way. I did all the old raids, cheese and no cheese, depended on the team's skill level. if u want to run it with your "i'm better bc i can run it the right way" attitude, find a team with that same attitude.
-
I know right it’s not other people’s business on how someone kills a boss
-
9 RespuestasI -blam!-in hate rocket riven kill so goddamn much that I leave any team that wants to do it. Why the hell are you playing the game if you just want to cheese shit? It makes no gaddamn sense to me...I play the game because I enjoy playing the game. The Riven fight is so damn cool I want to do it the way it was intended to be done. Not spend 45 mins trying to get every buff the game has to offer proc'd at the right times on one boss in order to skip the entire encounter. Bungie please for the love of god fix this crap asap. Even if you have to remove direct damage to Riven and make popping zits the only way to do damage
-
10 RespuestasWell few things 1. Regardless of cluster rockets, you still need to be high enough to meet the damage check. Having low light people will mean you fail 2. Bungie devs already confirmed that clusters is not a cheese and simply out damaging the fight if your group can do it 3. the next phase is probably harder than riven i find. Really is no room for error that final run to cleanse the heart. plus the fact that you can skip to any encounter freely already discredits any form of cheese claim. If it were: 1. disconnect at 0 seconds to skip fight 2. Knock atheon off 3. disconnect kn crota kneeling 4. knock templar off probably more examples but far too lazy to list, they are cheeses. The current method is not a cheese. Your simply out damaging the fight. All fights should allow this if your high enough. thats why there should have been a heroic version of this. Cause we wouldnt be able to do such things. but sadly there is not.

8 RespuestasLet’s say the average player spent $60 on the forsaken DLC. Well a huge portion of that is the raid to get endgame rewards right? So let me get this straight.... you spent $60 to shoot a boss aimlessly with cluster bombs for 2 minutes to complete the FINAL boss in the $60 DLC raid? Sounds to me like a waste of $60. It’s about enjoying the content the way bungie has intended it to be played. Not finding the easy way/ cheese. at that point you’re just wasting your money and ruining LFG.
-
there is not even a correct way , because the game doesnt tell you or explain shit what to do in there
-
1 RespuestaAh I like a good whine with my cheese
a good year, a hint of juniper berries and a slight note of vanilla
-
Is Riven cheese from Denmark?
-
6 RespuestasEditado por ILoveI6v6I: 10/30/2018 9:37:10 PMPersonally, I think the cheese is fine. But if Bungie ever decides to modify the encounter to prevent the cheese (unlikely at this point) then 99% of people won't be able to complete the raid. lol. So I'd still recommend that everyone try to do it the normal way at least once just in case.
-
1 RespuestaAll these people complaining about the rocket "Cheese" across the forum ... and yet not one of them seems to care that 6 people can run in with a certain side arm and melt the boss in mere seconds 'x.D
-
Because what it does to the lfg community
-
It's not a cheese. It's intelligence vs stupidity.
-
It's not about feeling entitled cause I did it the full way (at least not for me). It's the fact that I personally find the full way fun, and I'd rather do it that way. Sadly, the logic fails when you're asking someone to not run the way that's 10x faster and eliminates most of the risk of failure just cause you'd rather fight an Aksis than a Crota without the sword.
-
I go with whatever the group wants to do when I'm LFGing. However, when with friends we run it legit, because we enjoy the fight. Plus we wont be SoL if Bungie put a stop to one-rooming Riven. I suppose that scenario is what people are worried about - if Bungie shut it down, then LFG will have a large population of players with high numbers of clears who have 0 clue how to beat Riven.
-
My guess is people care so they can find another way to look down on other people.
Plus it's not like you can knock Riven off the map with a bunch of solar grenades.
-
2 RespuestasI do the raids not for the kill or the loot but for the experience. Cheesing an encounter to only last a matter of minutes is a real kill joy IMO
-
who cares, everyone can play it anyway they want (ive never chessed) long as Riven dies thats all that matters. Besides its not really a cheese you do loads of damage she dies is not that the point of guns etc.
