Recently I researched the topic (of my own curiosity) and found an amazing idea to protect schools.
Hire veterans (who are mentally stable) and pay them to walk around the school, armed.

1 Respuestahttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States The list is mind boggling. Several incidents every month. But there is no problem here right? None at all 🤷♂️

1 RespuestaAlthough this plan may keep schools safer, it would be scarring to have school turned into a battlefield. Americas schools being patrolled by gunmen would plausibly increase anxiety in students and teachers. Sometimes we pool so many resources into protecting this great country we forget what we were trying to defend.

1 RespuestaEditado por DINO DELUSIONAL: 10/27/2018 6:34:34 PMJust have better security and give them military gear and training.

1 RespuestaWe dont want schools being turned into battlefields. Sometimes we pool so many recourses into protecting this great country we forget what were protecting.

1 RespuestaHow about placing many signs around the school stating it’s a “Gun Free Zone”.
-
1 RespuestaStation the National Guard around every school. Park tanks out front. Build fortifications. Then send the kids home and close the schools. Problem solved. No more school shootings ever again.

4 Respuestasnot gonna lie seems kinda scary to go in school in the us.

No. Schools aren’t prisons. We don’t need people with guns casually walking around (I don’t mean no police on sight, like my school has police on sight in their own office 3 days of the week, I mean we don’t need multiple people with weapons on sight so that it seems more like a prison if that makes sense). The sad thing is stuff like this will happen whether they use guns or not, or acquire the weapons legally or not. That’s free will. -
5 RespuestasAt least 1/2 the schools in the country have armed officers in it. Including Parkland.
-
7 RespuestasI have an idea. -blam!-ing no. Guns in the schools is never a good solution. I being a student can assure you that I would that if this happened at my high school you wouldn't see me there anymore. Especially in the hands of people who possibly have PTSD or other mental health disorders. -blam!- no.

1 RespuestaThey’ve done enough for their country Let them relax

1 RespuestaOr police could put more resource officers on campus.

3 RespuestasOr we can have the fbi actually do its job.
-
4 RespuestasOr even better yet, have background checks & require gun safes, so the psychos don’t get the guns to begin with.
-
Shit ima vet and I would totally do that
-
Even better idea. Dont have schools
stop
-
4 RespuestasIve always supported this. Lots of vets have kids. Nobody protects kids like a parent. Awhile back i saw a picture from the 1970s. Students, teachers and parents armed with shotguns and rifles (they brought from home) guarding every entrance to a high school. Because somebody called in a threat that morning. And it happened in Texas.

1 RespuestaI have advocated for this idea since before 2016. For some reason, people on this forum didn't like my line of thinking at the time, and it seems that there are people on this forum right now who still don't like it. I don't get why there are people on this forum who don't like this idea, since it essentially fixes two problems at the same time: school shootings and veteran homelessness.
-
3 RespuestasThat was a hot topic last year. It’ll come up again when the next deranged individual commits unspeakable acts of evil. Of course, guns and conservatives will be to blame... yet again.
-
I think this is a good idea. Many veterans have been in combat, so they won't get freaked if gun shots start. Plus, they know how to handle weapons.
-
Seen the idea floating around. Personally I'm all for it. Give a vet a job and protect children. It's a win win.
