Star the post regardless your opinion. I want as accurate a poll as I can get.
I think the majority of solo players have made their point on the forum that bungie never reads, so if you disagree say why
I personally think that the current system requires no skill at all. I think the only way to really judge skill is to do so solo, and that to accurately judge someone's skill we need to remove the team aspect and bring back assists as a separate bracket. But that's just me. What do you think?
I don't think that we should only have solo for Comp, but we need a change
Edit: I've had to edit once already because of technicality, so let's put this fair, explain your vote regardless of what you choose.
I personally do not think one skill can be judged in a team with the current mechanics in place. Comp is based on skill, so why is that not reflected?
Reiteration: the number of replies and stars is what it takes for bungie to see this. Just polls taken won't be enough. Even if you don't have a comment please star it if you want them to see it.
Thanks
yay more edits
Edit number 3: it's really sad I have to say this but there are children amongst us who can't keep thing mature. I will tolerate disrespect towards myself to an extent. I will not tolerate it towards other members. Be respectful or don't be here at all.
any day now bungie
Edit number 4: I'm not a new player by any means. I've been playing destiny for a while. I've seen some ups, some downs, quite a bit of it all. Don't come in here expecting me to not know what I'm talking about. Don't do that to yourself.
let's change it up a bit from edits
Can anyone tell me why comp is meant for teams?
last edit I do believe
The majority of comments that don't involve point changes is simply have a solo que. Put solos against solos, and teams against teams. Thanks for playing guys. It's been fun
-
It's doable, but too damn sweaty for me.
-
1 RespuestaIt's very doable, you just need to keep trying you'll get your win in time and don't play comp when your stressed out good luck
-
1 RespuestaIf Rumble granted glory that would be way better

2 RespuestasDestiny has been, from the very beginning, a team-oriented game. Raids. Strikes. Heavy team play in PvP, outside of Rumble. Why can people not accept that there are simply large parts of this game that require a coordinated team? Why must an insignificant number of players, cry and temper tantrum so loudly as to turn the very core of the game on its head? "Non top tier solo players"... Is it really that much to ask, to try and be at least halfway decent in PvP?
-
I hope everyone dislikes this down to zero

Editado por Remi: 10/7/2018 5:13:02 PMNot enough people play this game for there to be two separate queues. If you're that concerned about competitive join a team instead of constantly complaining about it. Solo queues are not going to make your rank magically go up. PVP in this game is garbage anyway due to P2P. **I shouldn't be so negative.

14 RespuestasYou ever consider that maybe you’re not entitled to everything in this game if you’re not willing to put in the effort or have the skill? Teams really aren’t that hard to find.
-
Are people still using the term “stacked teams” as an excuse for being bad at the game? You kids are like those streamers who always blame someone else when they mess up in the raid or whatever like learn to realize you are the problem and get better already.
-
1 RespuestaI think it is doable but it's definitely harder on solo, keep in mind if we had more solo players playing the mode the problem resolves itself by having solo go against solo more often. The problem isn't in the game it's in finding ways to make people want to play it and bring the overall player count up so get a wider breadth of players in the game.

Just remove comp, it does not belong in a social game like destiny.

IT"S FUKING COMPETITIVE !!!!! YOU HAVE NO PLACE IN IT, W/O A FIRETEAM. EDIT: fair enough. here is my Dtracker. https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/xbl/DrPhilaBole as You can see our KD vs KDA is a pretty close ratio. and I generally solo, or play with my roommate VORHEES GHOST. What is really different between our stats...... W/L ratio. You'll also notice I keep my solo playing ass out of Comp.

3 RespuestasFirst of all: kudos to you for trying to create a usable platform for data collection and feedback. Truly commendable in this day and age. Now here's my take on things. Fundamentally, D2 comp conflicts with the playstyles we developed playing through D1. In D1, the power always lay with the solo player, being able to outplay the other team with superior gunskill and positioning and most importantly, speed. This fast, aggressive style of play was conpletely flipped at D2 launch with the advent of the 'Mida-teamshot-meta." Since then, D2 had been characterised by "butt-hugging" amd slow metgodical (otherwise known as 'camping') team play, where the power lies with the team, and not an individuals skill. This, I believe is where the comp in destiny argument points stem from. People want to feel powerful and be rewarded for their individual skill in all playlists, but those people have had their enjoyment neutered because of the fundamental shift away from solo play at D2 Launch. Bungie, to their credit, have tried to bring back individual power by buffing guns back to a similar lethality to D1. But because of the new "butt-hugging" playstyle that was adopted by the remaining playerbase, this resulted in the GV shitfest we endured last season. At this point, the people crying out "bring back The Last Word" because it is a gun that allows for individual outplay in the current meta are missing the point, that with the way people play the game now, that would only result in groups running at you with shottys and TLW, creating cqc deathballs that would be pretty much unstoppable once they got some momentum going. Coming back to the comp playlist discussion: the solo player demanding a solo-queue comp is just being naive in thinking it will make a difference in how matches play out. The winning team will always be the team that sticks together best, regardless of weather they are solos or squads. Because of the way people approach D2 pvp as opposed to D1's pvp. In conclusion: do I think something needs to be done for the solo pvp experience? Hell yes. Do I think it's an easy fix? Hell no (People fail to realise that there are uncountable factors that go into balancing this game, peoples playstyles, controller mapping, monitor refresh rate, weather they play with earphones or not, etc etc) There are so many things that need to be considered and at this point I honestly think a true endgame solo pvp experience is wholly out of reach based on how the majority of the community now plays the game. Although I'd love nothing more than to be proved wrong. Anything else?? Idk right now. If people wanna have a discussion about my musings then be my guest. Cheers Razzar_8

2 RespuestasCome on bungie. I've done the homework for you.

10 RespuestasI don't think destiny should have a competitive mode. It's poorly balanced. Laggy as hell. Plenty of people exploiting the system And it doesn't run 60fps or have dedicated servers. It's a casual pvp arena and should be treated as such

I read through your entire post and edits before replying. First of all your edits in response to immature forum replies are condescending. It’s better to just ignore immaturity rather than respond to it. You are feeding them when you do and rewarding poor behavior. Now on the topic at hand. The competitive playlist as it stands is team based. You are going into a match where it’s one team against another. Yes you choose to go in solo, but you have allies on your team. Now those are allies you don’t communicate with either because you aren’t in the same party as they are or you aren’t using in game team chat. This puts you at a disadvantage that you have some control over. (Some in the point that you have to activate team chat on your side to even have the possibility to talk to them if they do the same.) Next comes the people you are teamed together with. If you group up intentionally with other players, you know their play style and skill. You can compliment each other, move together, and work well as a team. If you go in solo, you could be matched with others of great skill and win, or with others of zero skill and lose in spite of your best efforts. That can happen with two teams of solo players. They get the luck of the match making and have 4 skilled players, while you are teamed with potatoes. So does the Competitive playlist need to change to cater to solo players. RESOUNDINGLY NO! However, does there need to be something done for your points of wanting to be judged on your own skill level and merit. Sure. My suggestion: Competitive Rumble. Your win is solely your own. No teams. No allies. No carries. Earn glory points all by your solo efforts. So there would be 2 Competitive options, team or solo. Solo is strictly Rumble. In team, you can go in solo, but doing so means you accept the fact you may be going against full fire teams at times. How does that sound to you?

I’m not voting, because I have no problem with teams in comp. I play well, we win. I play bad, we lose. But it really has nothing to do with teams
-
8 RespuestasAll pvp should be removed from gamming
-
Answers easy... It's literally a team vs team activity and just like any other, a team that plays off each other strengths, prevails. Team shooting for the win!
-
2 RespuestasBeing a good teammate and a good combatant requires more skill than playing solo and just being a combatant.
-
18 RespuestasI would argue that teamwork is itself a skill, and one that the core of Destiny is built around. I’d also argue that if one is claiming to be elite as a solo player, then it shouldn’t matter if you go up against a team or against blueberries.

Editado por WulfPak666: 10/7/2018 1:35:32 PMIf they continue what they did with the Redrix, then in Season 5 we can probably get a knockoff Luna after another grueling 5 rank resets. (Or maybe not since the quest for Luna will carry over since all pinnacle PvP weapons will be quest rewards..) I managed just about the entire run of Luna's Howl as a solo but got the last 100-200 points into Fabled with a team that picked me up after a game. The only thing I don't like is why lock the best guns behind PvP. Redrix is alright but Luna is bonkers. Amazing in PvP and one of, if not the highest dps primary weapon in the game right now for PvE. Basically any annoying add in Gambit.. dead Invader?? Get fukt. Luna does it all.

I mean plenty of people have gotten it solo it’s possible and a good enough player can definitely counter a 4 stack Loss streaks are gone and other game types have been added however comp is comp. it’s pretty much for people who look to try hard. Making it easier to progress will only take from it’s value. Maybe stop being a solo player or no offense but improve your own skill

1 RespuestaI believe that the way we lose points should be based off our performance. If we get blown out we lose full amount. If we do ok against a team we should only lose 5-10 points. If we were completely keeping up with the enemy team kill for kill round for round, we shouldn't lose any. Maybe even give us some points if we barely lost. It would be a great way to give people something to fight for even if they know they are going to lose.
-
The whole reason Destiny as a franchise has problems is because of PvP in the first place. Pvp ruined Destiny, I'm hoping that other devs that are making similar games realize this and keep it out of future games, or learn what the word balance means. Bungie had visions of Esports, keep dreaming Bungie, your shit show wouldn't make it as an Esport game.

You said :Doable for non top tier Solo players .. Well, they weren't always a top tier Solo player ...
