Star the post regardless your opinion. I want as accurate a poll as I can get.
I think the majority of solo players have made their point on the forum that bungie never reads, so if you disagree say why
I personally think that the current system requires no skill at all. I think the only way to really judge skill is to do so solo, and that to accurately judge someone's skill we need to remove the team aspect and bring back assists as a separate bracket. But that's just me. What do you think?
I don't think that we should only have solo for Comp, but we need a change
Edit: I've had to edit once already because of technicality, so let's put this fair, explain your vote regardless of what you choose.
I personally do not think one skill can be judged in a team with the current mechanics in place. Comp is based on skill, so why is that not reflected?
Reiteration: the number of replies and stars is what it takes for bungie to see this. Just polls taken won't be enough. Even if you don't have a comment please star it if you want them to see it.
Thanks
yay more edits
Edit number 3: it's really sad I have to say this but there are children amongst us who can't keep thing mature. I will tolerate disrespect towards myself to an extent. I will not tolerate it towards other members. Be respectful or don't be here at all.
any day now bungie
Edit number 4: I'm not a new player by any means. I've been playing destiny for a while. I've seen some ups, some downs, quite a bit of it all. Don't come in here expecting me to not know what I'm talking about. Don't do that to yourself.
let's change it up a bit from edits
Can anyone tell me why comp is meant for teams?
last edit I do believe
The majority of comments that don't involve point changes is simply have a solo que. Put solos against solos, and teams against teams. Thanks for playing guys. It's been fun

3 RespuestasIsn't the whole "problem" a case of problem solving on the players part? Let's say you wan't the Luna's Howl and you don't have people to play with, you are not skilled enough to go in solo and you are not willing to LFG (which i perfectly understand as most people are toxic as hell imo); so what do you do? Do you recognise your mistakes in the crucible and actively try to get better? Do you look for a clan that can aid you in your pursuit? Do you accept that the Lunas Howl and Not Forgotten are reserved for people who can and/or are willing to commit to the grind? I know that matchmaking isn't always fair and that you get potato teammates occasionally, but the best place to start is usually by looking at yourself. I'm not a top tier player, and by some people on this forum i would probably be called a bad player, but i grinded for Lunas Howl for the last 3 weeks both solo and with teammates. Finally, i just saw on the Charlemagne bot that Luna's Howl is ranked as the fourth most used energy weapon this week in crucible - so i doubt it is as hard to get as some people claim.

1 RespuestaIt is doable solo. There’s already several people who have soloed Luna’s howl and even more who have soloed up to 1600 glory
-
8 RespuestasI solo'd from 280-1200 and from 1470-2100, it's already doable

I'm sorry but after a long disappointing night I have to side with the no solos in comp group and I've been playing solo. I lost a lot of points tonight because of afk players, people throwing matches on purpose, and people leaving. It was one of those every game tonight. After the steps are done I'm waiting for my team to come back around December to reach Fabled. Solo players need to be locked out. It's the only way to keep these assholes that do the above mentioned behaviors out.

10 RespuestasWhat a surprise, still no reaction from bungie... Trails is getting fixed so that the streamers are happy but the rest of us aren't important I guess.
-
Be careful. Ddossers out tonight. My friends home network got hit and he's still out. Been about 20mins now. We won thankfully 3v4

2 RespuestasWhy there is even possibilty to play as solo, lock solos from comp and it's done. Or allow solo play against only solos and teams against other teams, in today's form solos are only dead meat for stacked teams. I'm solo player and I'm VERY critical about my game but if I'm doing all I can to win (playing objective and so on) and we still loosing.... it's not my fault I'm being MM with ppl with no thumbs and on top of that against teams. Bungie, do this right or don't do it at all annnd set up dedicated servers coz p2p is crapp, even tytanfall 2 has significantly less playerbase but atleast feels good to play and (if I'm not mistaken) have own servers. Cheers
-
Why do you even play comp? You want Luna’s Howl? Not forgotten? It will be available via quest just like broadsword next season. Just wait and see. The really good PvP players need something to chase. The only reason I play comp is to improve.. win or lose I get better and better .. would having the rewards be great? Sure.. do I care if I get them? Nope.. I just want to be skilled enough to be able to complete quests that require PvP as quickly as possible..

I think it IS doable, the issue is getting teammates that underperform, in my opinion
-
Well id say like any comp playlist even if you look at league games, arent they team based, communication and call outs, gives an edge to the mode against solo que who has no comms or call outs so its your choice to take the disatvantage or try and get a team together, if im not mistaken it was originally team based only, thats just my opinion dont kill me, thats why i wont touch it until i have a proper team and my fibre comes in, since theres very little player in South Africa playing in comparison to other regions you get paired with internationals most of the time and you wont stand a chance it will also not be fair to you or the other team or your random team mates
-
It’s 100% doable solo, I know a bunch of people who have it from going solo, I’m about to get it and I soloed all the way up, Bungie should make a solo/ duo que and a separate 4 stack que. however I do agree comp should be more skill, less team, that’s why I like clash/control/ breakthrough it relies less on 4 stacks rushing with shotguns trying to knock you and more on primary gunplay, does it relie on team work to hold zones, yes, but it relies more on the person holding the zones gunplay, not their ability to group up nut to but with their team. however as a solo player expect to go up and down a lot I went from 1900 to 1600 a lot, literal rage inducing, and also some luck with your randoms.
-
D1 had a solo que for some time before bungie removed it without telling anyone one update. PVP was all the better for it overall.

1 RespuestaThe MM is bad...very bad when I was at 300 points with my team we was against 5000+ many many times

30 RespuestasIt depends on what you mean by "doable"... The only reason we're having this argument at all is because of the loot behind it. People want Luna's Howel and Not Forgotten. The simple answer to this whole thing is to remove exclusive loot from Competitive. Competitive should be ALL about the rank and skill. People play Overwatch ranked because they want to get better at the game and have a rank to show for it. That's all competitive needs. When you take loot out of the equation people will accept that solo play is harder but they won't hate it as much because in the end that is the nature of competitive games. When there's loot that players want tho, people such as the OP will start to question everything about the mode that makes it harder to get what they want. The quests encourage players to cheese as hard as possible. I'm not saying 4stacking is a cheese because I simply enjoy playing Comp with my friends but playing without a 4stack is easily like playing on Veteran difficulty. Acquiring the loot solo is much harder without a doubt.

It is 4head

Editado por damiecki87: 10/8/2018 12:25:21 PMHow can most of people here talk about skill where these "top-players" are using xim and cronus max... In situation where this 3rd party tools are hard to be blocked. Competetive should does not have penality after losing a game. Also mercy should be available for players where someone have left from your team and proper penality for leaver's depending on number of quitted games.

3 RespuestasThey should just have a competive rumble . mode . for solo . and one for teams . and pugs . Pick up groups. (pugs)

Allow me to thank you for reposting my post here. It means a lot. But lemme say this, as someone who has always been mainly a solo player, it seems like the game has never even tried to tend to that section of the player base. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I want a whole separation of gamemodes and whatnot to apply for the two separate parties. That being said, some change needs to be made to make it fair for people like me, who just wanna be able to hop into the solo environment, and not be met with full stacks against me, because it's no longer fun at that point. You can take away all the points I made in my post. But at the least, just fix the matchmaking. Because that's gonna be the biggest step in the right direction.

22 RespuestasWhat do you mean it isn't doable as a solo? you just have to not be trash.

3 RespuestasI'm 50/50 on this. Competitive is a very "broad" term that dev's and players alike try to make into something more specific without any specific variables. The one thing I've always wanted to see from Bungie, on the playlist, is Fireteam min and max conditions. For me, I think if you're going to make something available to a single player or a group of (x) players, there needs to be something that makes the playlist competitive for both parties. At this point, that simply does not exist which I believe to be a problem. I'm not a fan of nerfing, changing the reward system, etc.... however, what I would like to see is simply a second playlist, for competitive, titling one as "solo competitive" and the other "Fireteam competitive" (or something along those general lines) with the inability for solo players to enter the fireteam playlist and vise versa (i.e.. Fireteam min and max). The one thing that drives me absolutely nuts about the playlists is how the clan heavy, multiplayer only, diehard players tell solo players that competitive (or the game for that matter) isn't for them and they should either be over in quickplay or stop complaining about competitive (which I think is fair to an extent); but then you find groups of 4+ in a quickplay game resulting in a completely weighed advantage thus causing you to find yourself in a 2v6 situation making PvP a completely shit experience regardless.

4 RespuestasOr we could just make competitive rumble instead of making competitive have a garbage matchmaking system.

36 RespuestasEditado por Reaper72983: 10/8/2018 2:58:05 AMYour choices make no sense. Yes, comp should be doable for top tier solo players, and it is. Comp probably shouldn't be doable for bad solo players, and it probably isn't. As it should be, that's your abilities and your choice as to if you can climb solo. I can agree with you completely in that comp isn't always skill based. 4 stacks vs solo players is NOT competitive, everyone agrees.
-
5 RespuestasMost of the solo players are only playing for the Luna’s howl simple option would be to remove the rank objective and replace it with another grind maybe 100 kills with kinetic 100 with energy and 50 with power. Let the teams go for the competitive rank and the solos go for the weapon I just went back to back against the exact same 4 stack it wouldn’t bother me so much if I knew that I was at least accomplishing something while playing and not just trying to get lucky and match up on an even playing field.

10 RespuestasEverything thats behind a pve wall is obtainable to everyone. Aoe got made easier and im more then ok with that. Luna however wil be unobtainable for the majority of the playerbase. Forget about not forgotten. It should be exactly like the broadsword. Because if theres items in a game we payed for they should be available to everyone. Especially if in a common meeting ground like crucible everyone runs the risk of facing these items. Just my two cents. Coming from someone who apparantly cant get past 1000 points.
-
Why does it have to be non-top-tier solos? Sure solos should be able to get it, but they better be above average. Ive done all my grinding solo and I'll reach it by end of season. Im certainly no top tier player.
