Posting this in the feedback section because I think the competitive matchmaking seriously needs to be addressed. I solo'd to luna's howl relatively quickly (acquired redrix last season as well) and now I'm actually going through the trouble of looking up the lobbies glory points because the match making seems to make absolutely no sense. I thought it was supposed to be based on glory ranks to attempt an even match with the advantage slightly going toward solo players over stacked?
This is clearly not the case and attached is a screenshot of just my most recent game (90% of my games are solo players vs 4 stack). The combined glory total of the 4 stack is 17,880. Three of those players are over 4k points and one is at the max 5500.
The combined glory points for the solo players is 8,335. Less than half of the glory points that the four stack has. One of the solo players has a whopping 10 comp points. There is absolutely no way that a system which attempts to create a balanced game can place a solo player with 10 glory points against a 5500 max player running a four stack with other close to max glory players. I really, really hope something is in the works to address this horrendous matchmaking. Before anyone talks about wait times it took me about 10 seconds to find this game and I've never had to wait more than 45 seconds or so for a game this season. It seems to be just randomly thrown together games with the first 8 people available.

2 RespuestasI don't belive there's ANY matchmaking past "find eight players". Bungie was once the best. Now they're arguably the worst.

bump, would like some sort of explanation

3 RespuestasEditado por Blimgauss: 10/3/2018 9:42:48 PMYeah I agree, we deserve some kind of explanation. An example: A buddy, who's pretty sweaty and already got his Luna's, offered to help me get mine. So we did some 3-stacking in comp with another clanmate. My buddy was around 2100 glory, I was around 250, and our clanmate was I think around 300. However, the teams we got matched against were INSANE, 4-stacks where each player was 3,000-plus Glory. We thought that the algorithm would compute an average of each team's total glory points, then match accordingly, but apparently that's not the formula at all. I wish Bungie would shed some light on this.

1 RespuestaThat's exactly why when the "new car" smell of forsaken runs out, people will abandon this garbage.

1 RespuestaAt a guess I'd say the issue is a lack of competitive players but I have no idea. I go from wiping the floor with people to being the wipee game by game, crucible matchmaking is all over the place.
