The main issue is that there is no excitement on seeing a purple engram drop, you know it’s a legendary of lower level. You only get the powerful engrams from bounties so if your trying to rank up and have done your weekly bounties then it’s almost pointless Saying that if we are all level 600 then everyone will be complaining that we have nothing to do, so it’s a hard balancing act I guess

Whilst I agree its a bit steep it's better in the long run. It's week 2 for god sake. In no time we will all be 600 and dismantling guns for days and have so many resources to upgrade our chosen favourite rolls on weapons and exotics etc. For now you are expected to use what drops and infuse the few things you really like.

I agree, masterwork cores shouldn't be part of the infuse cost. The whole point of adding perks to armour and random rolls to everything was that you could use what you wanted to. Day 1 player and I can't. I'd understand if it was just to be able to infuse into a masterwork item but using them for just plain legendary items is annoying.

Did you ever play Destiny 1? If not this is what it used to be like and D2 was a total shock to us all. I'm kinda glad they made it harder again.

This post is a perfect example of the community not knowing what it wants. D2 launched with a pretty easy endgame. For a year everyone complains and asks Bungie to bring back the grind. And the second they do, people like you write shit like this. No words...

Core is not required to infuse ‘same’ gear or same weapon-only glimmer required. So if you have a scatterhorn helmet-wait until another drops and only glimmer is required

A lot of people here are ridiculing you because they played Destiny 2 for maybe 3 times as many hours as others did. They pat themselves on the back and refer to themselves as hardcore players or vets ([i]l-o-fcking-l[/i]). When they post gifs here showing us some cool play or funny moment, they make sure to flash through their inventory and show off their 999 stacks of vanguard tokens and planetary materials. These people are undesirables. They talk in extremes and absolutes.. so you say take MW cores out. They say the grind will disappear. They act like discussion is impossible and they tell you you're whining. Call you a casual, as if to imply having less time to play a game means you're less of a player, less invested into the world you also payed full price for. Could Bungie not make it so that infusion costs more of every material to compensate for taking MW cores out? Instead of pointing fingers and starting up that [i]stupid[/i] casual vs hardcore talk, let's just talk. Hash it out. There is clearly a problem here, and like it or not [i]"hardcore" players are the overwhelming minority[/i] here. Plus, are you all really hardcore? Do you really think this game requires actual grinding? Have any of you played an actual MMORPG? Hell, Runescape and ESO have more grind. WoW and Warframe are grindfests. Not Destiny. Infusion can still be hard to do, without MW cores.

It's not enough of a grind, to easy too boring. Go and earn your easy to get shit.

Stop infusing everything and save up cores. Dont infuse small increments. Dont blame others for your gameplay preferences.
